well i could get one tomorrow, maybe even tonight at an absolute push

i waas on the phone home and i can get my drive copied and windows loaded back on, then my hard drive copied over for like £40. but i can't afford that.

I can probably get the XP disc tomorrow.

the second one sounds ok as well. how much will the case thing cost me and do you reckon i could get one in a shop rather than town?

Do you know of an linux live CD's that have usb support for pen drives... to get the data off (without too much faffing)

usb caddies are about £25 from Maplin, you could probably get them cheaper on the web, but will have to wait.. and it sounds like you are skint?
