DD not excited to see me

I work in a private nursery, and also leave both my children (2 yo and 1yo) in the nursery also (different rooms to each other and myself).
In relation to my children, there are days when they get soo excited to see me, and then days when they couldnt give a fiddle.
but also, seeing children in my care reacting the same way as this makes it a little more consoling. one boy in particular doesnt even look at his parents, but he knows they are in the room to collect him. the parents have to physically drag him away from the toy he is playing with. I see it as a good sign that the child is thoroughly enjoying himself.
Hope this helps! xxCarla-Farla!!

Something unexpected came up once, so I arranged for my Dad to collect Josh from playgroup. My Dad wasn't known to them, so they said we had to arrange a password just so they knew they were sending him home with the correct person.
The parents used to wait in the foyer while the children finished off on the mat with some songs, but we could see them through the glass doors. Apparantly when Josh saw my Dad, he was jumping up and down yelling excitidly "look it's my Grandad! My Grandad is out there!" so they had no absolutely no worries that he was being sent home with the wrong person :rotfl:
I see this often when I'm queueing to get my two - if someone "out of the ordinary" comes to pick the child up then the child is so excited to see them. Never mind the poor soul who does pick ups day in day out and gets ignored. Just send the grandparent, or whoever, in for one pick up and they're greeted like a god!! Lol.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -

My dd looks over at me then carries on with what she is doing and then we'll go home. Why is she not pleased to see me? Why don't I get a cuddle?
I always imagined that those are the sort of magical moments you get as a mum! I feel a bit rejected as daft as that sounds!:(Signature removed for peace of mind0
