Well, I've just tried out the trangia stove ready for the weekend. Had to take the kettle off after ten mins cos of the fumes (good job I don't smoke!) but it heated the water ok. But I think we'll still have the gas cooker and keep it in the car, sister can go and use it to fill up the flask a couple of times a day. We're going to miss half of Friday though cos sister's working and can't get over till at least 5, and I'm not sure they'll let her get her wristband later on after me.

Anyway, I'm off to make some angel delight.

See i know this girl from way back but she has been promoted and ended up being my boss! She has posted a comment tonight about me and a colleague being cool.

I have already had a disaster once with a colleague, I feel awful if I refuse a friends request though:o
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Buffy, people like that usually project onto others their own worst quality... so basically, she's admiting that SHE is a rubbish friend!

and do you really want her as a friend if she says that?

My daughter is off to Paris with her boyfriend for the weekend next week. Knowing my DD2 as I do (and her boyfriend) they will have lost their passports before they get on the plane. My heart is in my mouth at the thought of them going but I have to let them go. She is 17 and I know whatever happens she will be fine.

Now if it was Nats that would be a different story. She may have a baby and come across as being dead grown up and everything but she doesn't go anywhere without her mother...:rotfl:

Bunny - I MISS YOU TOO....I wish I could have come today sob! Spud, I get lost every time I go to Bunny's...weird streets.....

    thank you xxx

The worst thing is that she has been a friend for ages and she has been well, self absorbed and I have (and other friends have) tolerated it and I have never said a word about how hurtful she has been in the past cos I don't want to upset her - we were going to tackle it but then she got pregnant and so we left it and I just was happy(ish) to see her less and let it go, but today she (after I went, cooked her lunch, bought her birthday cake, cleaned up, gave her presents, ) had this huge go at me about how she only has seen me a few times this year and how she tried to organise stuff but I could never meet her (er no two jobs, mum, my other friends who haven't dropped me gee I don't know!!!!)

It has completely hurt me. I have no idea why I bothered.

Is being cool not good! <insert confused smiley>

I can't moan on facebook now! Bloody OH decided to join in...although I did laugh at Eastenders tonight. Ian Beale joined a social network and didn't have any friends so just asked his kids friends to be his friends....he is even looking at getting the facebook app on his mobile....

This is what OH did...cept all my friends asked him to be their friend.....

It's all roundabouts Sammy, and they all look exactly the same. From showing Bun the pics of where we'd been while we were lost, we apparently saw most of the area :rotfl:

Such a shame you couldnt make it today. We'll have to come down again soon :D
