Seems I have a rubbish deal then at 14.99 pm.
How easy is it to change over completely, do you lose the internet for a while during the changeover???Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0 -
Not usually - the new ISP 'pulls' your broadband over from the old supplier using your MAC code - maybe down for an hour or 2 tops.

I recently changed from NewNet to Plusnet and the changeover was instant. I received the email saying Plusnet was now active, I logged onto my router and changed the details and I was instantly changed over.
Plusnet has a good bandwidth monitor on their site which shows your daily usage and how much if it is browsing and streaming. Doesn't AOL have something similar?0 -
Thanks..
I've been with aol since being on the net, so never had to change over.
How do you do it exactly?
Is it.
Get mac code from aol
Choose new supplier and give them code
Cancel payment to aol
Set up payment to new isp
....presumably, my email addy then changes as well?

Chances are that you will lose your email address.
Take the opportunity to set up an address, or even one personal, and one business with Gmail, then you will be isp independant if you move again.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
If you can get it BT Infinity costs me £24.99 a month, unlimited downloads and 35 Mbps download and 7.6 Mbps upload. For me that's good value.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

OP, have you checked that if by changing tariff you are now on a new minimum term contract? If so it's going to cost you to leave AOHell (though it'll be worth it).

Unless they have changed tactics in the last few months AOL actually keeps the email addresses running, which you can access thorough the AOL website.Signaller, author, father, carer.0
