I know what you are saying, but the other side of the argument would be look how quickly it sells out WITHOUT any advertising etc. I also accept that Sesame Street and Elmo are NOT the big buzz here that they are in the States, but that's the really great thing about ebay...even someone working from home with a pc can now sell globally. Just a shame that Amazon US won't allow UK-based sellers unless you have a US checking account and US credit card as prices on there now start at $160! BAsed on the US RRP, that's a 300% mark up! Or is it 400%? Maths was never my strongest subject.I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

I think you are missing a very important point with regard to retail; by the time the kid's got fed up of it, it's already been bought. LOL.I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

But if i was a kid and tested it out in a shop i would think it was good for a whole min then once i press it again and it did all that laughing again i would think god this toy is annoying.... i mean how can someone get excited about a toy what just laughs.... yeah if it did loads of tricks and talked loads i might buy it lol
I agree nice little present maybe for a child under 5 ...but its nothing special in my eyes0

You just need to watch the video on the tube to make you laugh, no need to buy one - lol0

The cabbage patch dolls were also nothing special in my eyes. What we think matters not, though... :rolleyes:I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

they were, however, on TV in the afternoon, and hit the "home from school" audience.
Sesame Street is not on at the right time to hit what I would call the premium audience (ie ages 10-14)It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0

Is it selling because it's a popular toy, or because people see some profit in reselling on eBay? There are people on this thread solely responsible for some shops being out of stock and, as has been said before, it's too early for most parents to start Xmas shopping.Clasics wrote:I know what you are saying, but the other side of the argument would be look how quickly it sells out WITHOUT any advertising etc.
Hopefully there will be a hype but current eBay prices show many people seling at a slight loss once fees are paid. Can I help?0

Now don't get me wrong I have bought a couple of these myself but surely the reason it is selling so quickly is because the readers of this board are buying them by the car load. You're my wife now!!0
