do people think they're really going to go for loads on ebay though? i'd only heard of them yesterday and i'm a mum of 3 pre schoolers, so are they going to really be the toy everyone wants for Christmas?

No-one can honestly tell you that. I suppose there are pointers on this thread but it's still mostly speculation. If you are asking for my opinion (and that's all it is) I think there's a big chance they will be highly sought after in a few weeks time and I also think they will be in very short supply in the shops.

Yeah prices are rising and the number of Buy now which have been completed have increased massively.

Over 10 have gone since the Elmo was on GMTV.

I think i will wait a little longer. Before i list on ebay.

Thanks. I'm not going to buy more than one, but i wonder whether i'm buying because they're hard to get or because i think it's cute and my youngest would actually appreciate it! Ah well, not as exciting as the 360 hunt last year!

If someone sells a couple of Elmo's at £20 profit and sticks the 'profit' towards paying off their debt .... does that make them good or bad ?

I have 3 of the little fellas ...... one or two i kind of earmarked for crimbo prezzies and sell one maybe two if the prices go silly. Any 'profits' will go to the wedding fund... although i do like the idea of giving one to a charitable cause.

Whilst their views are very much appreciated and respected, I feel it would be best not to get 'bogged down' in this thread responding to the 'detractor's' posts. If we do, it will just end up like the Tesco R&R discussion thread, far too long and highly irrelevant for the most part. Just my thoughts, but I'm not a mod so feel free to flame me if you wish...:D
