I think the statement on Fisher prices website says it all, they will not have anymore until 2007 for sale on their own website. The Elmos in Argos etc are these UK retailers preordered Elmos it is very unlikely they will receive any Elmos that were not preordered way back. I think the majority of the demand for these we be from the US but if there is enough publicity in the UK then it could take off over here aswell. COME ON ELMO!:T

Whilst we are all blowing our own trumpets here (ooerr) didn't I say this would start to get on the news programmes betwen now and Xmas and that's ALL it would take to get this toy to sell out here as well? TV LOVES this sort of story, it really does! In 4-6 weeks time, watch out for 'Hunting the elusive Elmo' news stories appearing.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I have one reserved at my local Argos and they have loads in stock:rotfl:

To be quiet honest I hope it stays that way as the thought of MSE'ers making money off unfortunate, unsuspecting people who have not got the time or resources to purchase their Elmo's early makes me sick:mad:

That is just NOT what Money Saving is about:confused:

Myself as a parent of 2 young boys knows the pressures christmas can and will bring and the fact that kids change their mind every day on their santa wish list:o

Maybe the Elmos are in so short supply because certain muppets have gone and bought 100's at a time:rolleyes:

In which case the decent thing to do would be to donate any spares you may have to the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal, can you imagine the joy on the face of the under privileged kid who gets this toy on Christmas Morning. You know it makes sense, and you will sleep better at night;)

That my view please don't flame me I am the voice of your concience;)
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

  • well i'm going to go get one from argos. if i don't like it i'll sell it. still debating whether to give as a present for my youngest, but I'm not going to feel guilty if i decide to sell it. Think i'll see how things go.
