  • Not a good day.....

    Parking - 90p
    Dentist - £33 (and I still owe 'em £5)
Superdrug - £10.31 (all the offers though)
    Iceland - £7.95 (including £3 on a gift)
Woolworths - £1.98 (two pads one for oh, one to keep track of my spending!)

Also had to pay for some Ebay items I won a little while back. Body side moulding for my car (Retail £56'ish - got it for £21 and a book for £3.48)

    Total: £78.62  :o

The good news is that I don't need anymore work at the dentist other than a clean, not bad considering it's been quite a while since my last visit.
  • No spend day today - with a surprise bonus

One of the link tutors from our partnership with intercollege in cyprus was visiting & wanted to talk to all the people that write the courses she teaches. I was the last chat before lunch and was invited along to the Lido next door for a free lunch. The AGC ordered too much food & I got enough boxed afterwards for dinner (no-one else wanted it).
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!
  • I had to spend £3.60 on a taxi which I will get back on expenses, and £2.12 on a sandwich which was a "real" spend. I promise to do better tomorrow.
Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24
    currently: £13,353.25

  • Raaaah, I've done REALLY badly.

230 quid on getting car serviced and MOT'd :(
    45 quid on hygenist
5 quid on groceries including 18 rolls of charmain for the price of 9 - yay.
5 pounds - 1.50 on packing tape to send off ebay purchaces, and 3.50 of it on reduced toys to go towards christmas and b'day presents needed.

    Argh!

Good news is the car was nearly budgeted for by saving over the past months, and is currently for sale on ebay, and I get the hygenist money back through insurance so not as bad as it looks. :)
Debts @ lightbulb moment (13/06/2006) - £59,842.23  All commercial debts now clear!!! :T Debts April - £20,000 to family (incl extra £10k borrowed for house deposit). DFD - Aug 2014
Proud to be dealing with my debts
    Goal of the month - £500 on groceries for family of 5 - Apr 2011 - £620! :( May - £454.85 so far.
  • gotta get back in the habit of posting on here...

    Total spend today = £0.00

  • Help!
I need reigning in.. I became debt free in December but since I had my baby I have become an EBay freek! Everything seems like a bargain - today I spent $50 US on a pair of slippers - but I have made up my mind, that is the end of it now - tomorrow is the start of a new nsd and the start of me trying to save some pennies again

£3.10 on lunch, £1.60 on food later in the afternoon, £4.90 on a travelcard... that's all. could be worse. could be better. I've made myself some food to take to work tomorrow so I don't spend money on lunch...

think am suffering a redbull addiction!!

    Hey Pania,

If you have a Lidl near you, they sell an energy drink called Tiger something... can't quite remember. It's the same size can and ingredients as Red Bull, tastes almost exactly the same and only costs 25p per can.

Sainsburys do their own version too, but that's 48p... way too pricy! :rotfl:
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
