See thats what I dont understand, is that explained in the magazine then scaredy?? I am certain that neither of us would even come close to qualifying on prescription. I'll have a look at the mag and the website though, thanks.

when you join you get a book which tells you how to use food optimising - i found this on amazon which looks like it does the same - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Slimming-World-Food-Optimizing/dp/0091872545/ref=pd_sim_b_6

it might be worth going to maybe 4 classes to get the hang of it - that would cost about £25 i think.

Hiya lovely, pants about the headache and poorly tootsie-peg.

I am at the really gunky stage so am starting to feel a bit better.

Been looking at some homemade gifts for Christmas as MIL is so difficult to buy for and if you get her something that isnt to her pleasing she sends you back with it .......so this year I am going to (try) and make some marmalade and some sort of chutney so at least if it comes back with us we will enjoy it.

things that have been sent back.....
Scented Candles (!!!!!! is wrong with a candle !!!!!!)
    A chenile throw
    Biscuits
    Chocolates
Books if she doesnt like the first page:rotfl:

It used to really upset OH but now we just let it wash over our heads.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

it would be upsetting, Lou, cos it's a type of rejection.

Does she like marmalade? you can get tins of prepared maramlade oranges from the supermarket, you add the sugar and cook it. You could add stuff like ginger, or a bit of whiskey to make it special.

Yes I saw that somewhere on here Scaredy, its called Ma Made or something like that, has the recipe on the tin.

she loves marmalade and ginger I think, maybe a jar of chutney with some biscuits and a block of cheese might be OK too.......:o

I honestly dont know why I worry about it but we dont want to seem mean with gifts yet hate wasting money on things that arent appreciated (actually I quite like my debenhams chenile throw:rotfl:)

We made a hamper 2 years ago which she seemed to like but it had lots of shop bought things in, would like to do a similar thing but without the basket (which she returned to us) so thought that the jars could be wrapped like a gift set.

My MIL is great at giving back the presents she doesn't like too - she forgets who gave them to her though so we just smile and say thanks when we get last years christmas present recycled to us.

It's so flipping muggy here, just walked into town and back and now need another shower..I wish this weather would make up its mind!

Tenmah - I agree about John James, he really does have some issues that I don't think he's aware of - watching himself back might make him see sense. I'm sad that Sam's out, he's funny. DD's were really upset to see him go as they know his sister and have been backing him all the way.

Elfen - Have a good trip - I don't think I'd risk taking your mac just incase. How long are you gone for?
