  • Someone posted a thread on using emptied 4 pint plastic milk bottles cut in half and used as drawer dividers - thought I'd do this.

Currently encouraging lots of milk drinking to stock up on the bottles! Ain't life sad!!
  • I use Ferrer Rocher chocolate trays to store my jewellery. Each wee gold cup holds a pair of earrings, a ring or a necklace. They trays stack up in a drawer too, all nice and tidy.

    loving the chocs too

I use the TEsco wine carrier for my glass recycling.

Old coffee jars for rice, pasta, cous cous, etc.

My plastic bags are in an old tea-towel I sewed into a tube, with string at the top and bottom to pull it tight, hung in my kitchen.

How funny, I have just polished off the last choc and was lookingt at the small oblong box and thinking there must be a use for it! I'm thinking small items in the fridge or the stock cube idea sounds good.
  • OH was given a bathroom gift set in a pink pig woodern thing - think really wide letter rack. Since it was a pig it has been converted to a hot chocolate sachet holder. Have to find a new use for it now since i make hot chocolate straight from cocoa tin - mayeb a recipe/bill/ important paperwork holder.

Other bathroom gift set to OH (think someone is trying to tell him something?) was an a4 woodern box that is now a PS2 games crate

You used to be able to get yoghurts from waitrose in small glass jars (they were yummy billberry flavour) - have several of these dotted around with candles & 1 as drawing-pin holder.

    Last one:
DIY wall-mounted fruit/veg racks. Made from a wire basket I found dumped in the park, sawn in half, cleaned and attached to a piece of wood & then to the wall.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!
  • i use a thing designed for cutlery drying as a pen pot, and cutlery trays as pen drawer tidies - we have a lot of pens!
