:o Loft already full and my outbuildings and the paid for storage at one of those storage places.

Am slowly trying to clear the amount of stuff i have, but that was before I started taking ebay just a little more seriously and i now have business stock lying around as well.

Pretend ones and as per my thread the other day I had no idea about volumatic weights and rather underestimated how many I would get for the money. I still haven't managed to find anywhere to store this huge 6ft sack of the things.:o

:rotfl: soolin I have a brilliant idea why not re-sell them on ebay lol:) the reason why I asked about it being real peanuts tho is because I received an order from Lush and they use real popcorn in their packaging I have never had anything smell more repulsive than sickly sweet bathbombs mixed with the smell of popcorn and their so-called green packaging did not work as my order arrived in bits so I was just wondering:D
LOVE isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live WITHOUT

It actually might come to that, at the rate I actually need to use it I have more than I'll ever need.

have you tried parcelmonkey. I used once and it worked well and for what I sent it was cheap. It seem to broker lots of companies. Sometimes taking to the PO may be cheaper. They have a simple website so its easy to get a quote.

Golf clubs don't weigh much. You can get purpose made club boxes. I'm lucky to have a supplier near me who let me have ten when I needed them. About £2 each.

Do golf clubs really need to be boxed if they are covered in a good layer of bubble wrap? I would have thought they were quite strong. A club that is likely to bend in the post is probably not worth buying (or selling).

Modern ones are lightweight, all the weight is in the club head. The shafts can be bent if you hit the ground hard. All golf clubs from pro shop sellers come in boxes. Plus, if you can get them, they are taped up in seconds and easy to lable.

they maybe strong but how would they cope with a few 10's of KG pushing down on the shaft?
the end sliding out the side of a york trolley and getting caught against something while being pushed?
if it were me i would consider taping a piece of thick dowel along its length depending on value
  • My husband has a golf shop and sometimes sells on ebay, he always boxes the clubs up and sends via a courier which I think costs about £8-10

I remember the picture of your cages well and I always wrap my items assuming they are going to be at the bottom of one of those at an awkward angle with several hundred kilos of stuff on top.

Only last week I took my usual things to the main office, the woman in front of me had a very prettily wrapped parcel with fragile stickers on it. Her pastel wrapped item went into the cage and then my sack was emptied out on top, and i'd sold some old war books that weighed well over 2kg each, even the post man winced as they crashed down on her item.
