You are right, your not very bright, i might even add you are a bit of a prat.:D
If being a prat means not being investigated for fraud; and NOT being a prat IS being investigated for fraud; then I know which camp I'd rather be in.
One might say being investigated for fraud and not understanding the very very simple question 'have you done any work in the last fortnight' and lying is a prattish thing to do....but hey ho - your life, live it.
Oh and Orville; it is not the purpose of the site to defraud the government; and certainly not to encourage it or try and find ways around it.0 -

You are correct, but as has been said the OP wasnt asking for ways to defraud the system, the op asked how they come up with their figures... Where has the op asked to try any find a way around it..?.
The OP asked a simple question and i'll repeat myself again, only a handfull out of 40+ posts have actually answered it. This is not the ethos of the site.0 -
The job centre or the processing people wont see it as an innocent mistake, she took the money and said nothing. This is benefit fraud and theres no reason why it can be classed as a mistake, it states on all letters to inform the job centre if theres a change in circumstances.
The poster is classed as a benefit fraud and they wont be allowed to have access to public funds again.
No they won't see it as a mistake and nor should they. You are right in that it would be classed as fraud, but from what the op said there was no intent on his/her part. Therfore there is no need to shoot the op down in flames. The op's origional question was to do with the figures they came back and how they might have reached a figure different to theirs.
As for the not allowed access to public funds again comment is that correct..? If you commit any kind of fraud with regards to benefits you can't claim again....? I must admit i never knew that.0 -

I'm sure they were themselves asked a simple question; that of 'have you done any work in the last fortnight'...they lied when they answered so it's hardly surprising that people get a tad annoyed when someone is so blase about defrauding the system.0 -

You would have been better off claiming IB/ESA if because of an illness you could not work for more than 11.5 hours a week, as the rules for permitted work are a lot more relaxed and you get to keep up to £93pw for working up to 16 hrs pw for 12 months at a time on top of your benefit!
Why are you suggesting the OP claims disability benefits for which he isn't entitled? Hasn't there been enough fraud committed for your liking?0
