Hi Travelman, Savapenny, Sloppychops, etc
Hope you can help me with my holiday dilemma. Have posted on the board last week, me and boyf are both teachers and want to book ourselves a summer holiday thats a bit different. We are open to any ideas suggestions, don't mind connecting flights, a bit of "hassle" as long as we get a good relaxing holiday at the right price
Hope you can help.
Starkiller X X X
1-All airports you can fly from - any London/North East or West/Midlands - Live in Doncaster so easy access to motorways etc.
2-Duration - 10 to 14nights
3-1st & last dates to leave the UK - 1st day 23rd July, last day not important as long as we are back for school to start in September.
4-Are night flights acceptable ? - yes
5-Party size & kids ages - 2 adults
6-Board basis - Any
7-Type of resort, - nice and chilled, ideally fairly close to beach or scenery. Somewhere with nice beaches for me to lol about and scenery for him to go exploring.
8-Any resorts/countries you WOULD NOT go to - Not Spain,Greece or Egypt. Would like somewhere a bit different, don't mind somewhere a bit off the beaten track
9-Any other neccesary factors, - Nice pool, and some nightlife but not mega like san antonio/malia - been there done that won't do it again
10-Prices required by what day/time? - ASAP
11-Max. budget - around £1800 (flights + hotel for 2 people - £900 each) - can stretch the budget a bit more if the holiday was spot on. Don't mind twin centres either, have been looking at these in the brochures we have.0 -

Hi, I wondered whether you could help my search. We have never ventured further than Ireland for our holidays, and we fancy fitting in an extra week/10 days somewhere different, where hopefully we might get some sunshine, and a tan. We usually come back with windburn from Ireland.
Our requirements are:-
1. Flying from Manchester Airport.
2. Duration - 7 days.
3. 1st and last dates to leave - 1st Aug - 26th Aug
4. Would consider night flights - just need some advice on what you do to
waste time before check in and check out of accommodation?
5. Party size - 2 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 10
6. Board Basis - self catering villa with private pool.
7. Type of Resort - Any as long as accommodation is private so that we can
relax in our pool. We are willing to hire a car if necessary to explore, but
wouldn't want to be out in the wilderness.
8. Destination - not too long a flight - the children have never flown
before. We were thinking either Spain or Menorca/Mallorca, but open to
suggestions.
9. Any other necessary factors - Air conditioning or fans.
10. Prices require by - At your earliest convenience.
11. Maximum Budget - As cheap as possible (obviously) but max £1500. (Are we being realistic?)
Kindest regards0 -

hello travelman
i am really hoping you can help
first of all let me tell you why i need to fly to australia...my 2 sisters and i were seperated over 30 years ago, i came to live in scotland and they were adopted, after over 30 years of searching we finaly found each other again, we both registered with a reunion site called oz renunion...we have been e-mailing and phoning each other since, mike the oz reunion site owner has been trying to get publicity from televison to help fund a reunion, the t.v channel did phone but as i live in scotland its outwith their budget, so my husband has been saving up hard to take me to oz to meet my sisters again after all this time, but we need a good deal as funds are limited, i really hope you can help....gee i would fly in cargo if it got me there !!
here are my details
1-All airports you can fly from ....glasgow, edinburgh..or at a push..london flying to melbourne
2-Duration ..3 weeks
3-1st & last dates to leave the UK ...anytime between feb and april 2006
4-Are night flights acceptable ? yes
5-Party size & kids ages 2 adults
6-Board basis you require (ie self-catering, all-inclusive, h/b, bb...etc) none
7-Type of resort, ie quiet, lively n/a
8-Any resorts/countries you WOULD NOT go to n/a
9-Any other neccesary factors, n/a
10-Prices required by what day/time? a.s.a.p !
11-Max. budget FOR THE WHOLE PARTY!!! Now I know there is a preconceived idea that if you say maximum £1000 we'll quote £999-99-NOT the case! It just saves us all time, for example if you were looking at peak Season or Whitsun for £125 pp it's a non-starter. Just 'as cheap as posssible' is not a help I'm afraid......... £1600
FOR PICTURES & HOTEL DESCRIPTIONS please PM me an e-mail address. Also, a contact telephone number for day/evening is usefull as the Web is not always the quickest & subtle 'want's' can be picked up in a quick chat that might be missed on an e-mail!
Thanks in advance for this.
Do remember as fellow moneysavers no extras to pay-such as card charges, booking fees, Airport security, transfers (in 90% of cases we include a PRIVATE TAXI-nice start to the holiday!). If flight meals are not available we'll let you know!
Also, Summer 2005 deals & especially PEAK dates are cheap NOW as the low-cost flights are cheap-these go up the nearer you get! See my 'Tour Op-vs. Independent' thread for proof of this on an example for Croatia!
