Your going to have to increase your budget even for a short break(these tend to cost more than what a week does) to somewhere sunny at Xmas/New Year time.
Unless of course you wouldnt mind going to either the Costa Brava or costa Dorada in Spain but sunshine at that time of year isnt a guarantee.

could you please give me a quote?
i'm looking for a cheap holiday for a week leaving either 9th or 10th december from glasgow any airport or edinburgh (or would it work out cheaper to take a hotel night in manchester which includes car parking for the trip?)
to anywhere that my european insurance (free with direct line house insurance) will cover.

Looking to have weather no worse than a scottish summer. My OH walks with a stick (but we aren't really sit by the pool people and prefer to have some town to look at too).
