Hi there,

I'd like to get some ideas about where to go on holiday this summer with some quotes if poss, I've got a good idea what we want from the hol:

1- prefer to fly from Manchester
2- 14 nights
3- Departing from UK between Fri 29th July - 1st Aug 05
4- night flights are ok
5- 4 adults (two couples in two seperate rooms)
6- All Inclusive, Self catering or half board basis
7- lively resort - not right in the middle of all the bars but within 15mins walking distance
8- WOULD NOT go to Balearics, Rhodes or Tenerife. would love to go to mexico or carribean, or greece but must be in a nice hotel - nothing really basic..any ideas about resorts would be great.
9- Must have pool. Within about 15 mins walk from beach ideally
10- Max. budget for all four of us is £3200

I've heard it might be best waiting for a month or two for the prices to come down, is that right?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Don't need mine now, booked an apartment with https://www.rent4days.com, Grump Old Duffer pointed it out to me and they're reasonable and very nice apartments, also e-mailed them asking for a discount and got 40 euros off!

Guys & girls.......My system is being upgraded (so old computer being sent back today) hence I'll be off-line for a while-I'm writing this from our Head-Office! During this time I'll be driving all over the place-to utilise my 'down-time' by seeing suppliers, etc...might be in Spain for a day or so.

I have also had flu-now fully recovered. Our IT people have said the new system should be with me & set-up by 16/3.

If I am at Head Office I'll have web access so may be able to duck in briefly so any posts for me are not likely to be answered until 16/3. Wife and I been to Stalis in Crete – that was excellent, as we chilled on the beach & did sight seeing during the day, went for walks in the evenings, and at night we wither went to restaurants or bars, or for a crazy night out to Malia.

In summary: Somewhere to chill out and relax, and have stuff to do, but have the option to go out as well if we want to.

I am being miserly because in October, I went to Stalis, Crete for 2 weeks –
Flights, Self catering apartment 3* (12 apts in total – so nice and quiet) with pool & bar, 1 minute from beach, clean, excellent location. Cost – For 2 of us £450. Went with Cosmos and stayed at Triandafillo apts.
The swimming pool wasn’t working so they refunded us £100, so total cost £350. not bad !!!
