1) Can fly from any Midlands or Manchester
2) 14 days
3) 1st date to leave UK 14/07 last date leave UK 26/07
4) Night flights are acceptable
5) 2 Adults 1 child of 11
6) Board basis any would like BB or HB
7) Family, not too lively
8) Would like to go either the Algarve ideally Lagos area
9) Need Pool, preferably not in large complex, would also like airport transfer.
10) Before weekend please
11) £1700

Would be willing to look at Croatia or any Greece as alternative

hi there,
i booked flights to barcelona arriving 7th july and flying back 14th.which were a great bargain from our local airport.
£140 all inc for 2ad 1ch and 1 infant.
The problem im now having is finding somewhere cheap to stay.Ive tried the usual hotel sights and barcelona itself is looking like its going to be too expensive,which we don't mind to much as have seen it before,but because we don't arrive till 9pm and most hotels have to check in by 11pm we are worried about how far from the airport/barca we are going to have to go to find somewhere child friendly and cheap.
We don't mind basic as we don't spend much time there anyway except to sleep,but we could also do h/b or something if prices were good.
We don't want to be too far from the airport that it will cost us a fortune in taxi fare,but can't really stretch to barca prices,any ideas???
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for an apartment/hostel/hotel (or any other appropriate suggestions!) in Barcelona from Saturday 30th April to Tuesday 3rd May, for 6 adults, 3 double rooms would do.

As cheap as possible would do, but also somewhere that has decent public transport so we can get out and about.

Had a look at some of the hotel sites and planning on getting the rough guide too, but thought that maybe TRAVELMAN and various others may be able to help.

Did post this yesterday but seems to have disappeared! Anyway need accomodation for 6 from Sat 30th April to Tuesday 3rd of May, I'm thinking an apartment would be cheapest and the best. Ideally looking for somewhere pretty centrally located or with good transport links.

Seem some which range from about 350 to 550 euros, 550 would be the top end of our budget, ideally something aroung 450 if poss. Been told Los Ramblas is an OK area to stay in.

Any advice and tips greatly appreciated.

Never used them before, but apartments do look nice, so I hope they're OK!!!!
