    saveapenny,
not sure about salou, its v touristy and 'brits abroad' isn't it? But you probably know better....

Not being funny, but you did say in original post anywhere considered. If you give us an idea of where you would/wouldnt like to go it wont be wasting your time or ours.
Thats not meant to soundy nasty, just saves us alot of time when you know there are some places you would rather not go to.

Problem you have is if you pick somewhere in greece (my fav place) beaches arnt to good generaly Italy ...how about northen Italy to one of the Mobile home parks? that way you can get into places like Venice.

Cyprus is nice but again touristy unless you go for Polis or Latchi but nothign to do for child and expensive when your there + flights can be expensive.

Spain ...Yes costa Dorada came be touisty but if you choose your area right it can be lovely and not a fish and chips joint to be found.

The paradors are very nice which are goverment run hotels and of a very high standard.

Turkey can be lovely and cheap to but again you have to choose your area. sloppy will agree Icmeler is lovely and not to OTT touristy either unlike its neighbour Marmaris.

If you havnt been to Lanzarote before have a good look through the web its a lovely island not at all like main of Spains other islands

Lanzerote and Northern Italy sound good, what are the mobile parks like? Costa dorada also sounds like a good bet - if we can find a happy medium between kiddies entertainment and culture.... I just hear horror stories about turkish hotels but you guys are in the know as to where to go....and, at the risk of sounding very silly - Where are the paradors?
