Hi Travelman,
I am getting married in London on August 26. I want to take a honey moon somewhere warm, at least 3 star accomodation, for approximately 1 week. I am on MSE so obviously not too expensive.
We are not fussy where. I am worried things may be expensive because it is the end of the school holidays. Do you know of any good offers that might be available now?
If I thought there was a chance for a good last minute package deal I would be happy to wait till even a few days before hand. Is it realistic to expect that cheap last minute deals would be available at the end of the school holidays?
One final question, what is the most common day of the week for cheap 7 day package deals to depart? We need to know this as we have to book annual leave.
Thanks for any suggestions or advice you can offer.0 -

Reading through these quotes that have been given to various members over time it bugs me that alot dont even come back to check or maybe they do and just dont take time out to say thanks.
There are of course many that do say thanks and are pleased with their quotes.
Really this is just for the ones who post and and then never acknowledge the work someone else has just done for them.It takes no time at all to say thanks.
So please remember someone else is spending their own time on getting quotes for you, have the decency to come back and acknowledge it.
It would be really nice to know as well if anyone actually books up from quotes they are given on here."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0 -

Sloppy-you KNOW my thoughts on this! I try & help as & when I get time......but I went through a spate of quotes last year & a lot of people did not bother to come back to me or just did not answer my questions.
Problem is the web & posting on boards like this takes away ANY 'rapport' & people think they're not dealing with a 'real' person.
With both this board & any e-mail enquiries I get from my web-site if people do not give me a contact tel. number I won't bother to quote them. Reason being??!....Well...in a 1 minute phone conversation you can find all those 'little things' that people forget to mention on the web...like 'oh i forgot I've been there' oe 'sorry-my other 1/2 got the dates wrong' or 'oh I forgot to mention that I won't fly with monrach' etc.....Also there's no point in looking for someone ULNESS THEY ARE IN A POSITION TO BOOK STRAIGHT AWAY/LATEST NEXT DAY as the prices can & do change & flights do SELL!
So on a personal level ulness someone gives me a tel no I won't even look at helping people as you can waste so much time. Some people on MSE have booked with me & are lovely people, whereas last year I had so many people that I quoted/helped (without contact numbers...etc) who just did not come back to me. Sloppy-you & sava do a brill job but I know how you feel! I'm sorry to say it (& I'm not tarring all MSE'RS with the same brush) but their does seem to be a large proportion of people on MSE who just think 'let's see what's about' & post on here...leaving you/me/sava et al having to ask for details that are missing. What is needed is ALL the information asked for on page one & the poster should be in a position to book the same/next day-or it's just not worth looking as everything changes-hence wasting peoples time..
I'm going to chang the intro & put a note about this on it.
Keep your chin up-you do a great job!
My bL***Y computer is STILL playing up!0 -
