unless your a big spender they will not come back with a better offer. I was offered similar to your 18 month deal and spoke to UK call rep and he was adamant that that is best they could do for me and I had already requested my PAC I wanted it for £25 a month but they didn't budge and I ended up moving to T-Mobile for £25 a month and an unbranded/unlocked Galaxy S without T-Mobile bloatware on it but that is because I purchased from a retailer.

From 3 you may get the 16GB version (I was offered it) but they will have their own software on it and it will be locked to 3.

You need to decide how long you want the contract for and how much of difference a month it works out for you. Also whether the signal in your area is better with 3 or another provider/T-Mobile as my signal with 3 was slightly better in the areas I travel to but its not significacantly worse with T-Mobile that it is a deal breaker. Also the CS from T-Mobile has been excellent so far I have called them once and they even rang back after couple of days to check if everything was o.k.

So overall I am fairly happy I moved from 3.

    Thanks for your reply,

So was your T-Mobile deal for 18 or 24 months?

Plus are you pleased with your Galaxy S

18 months and the phone is great once you understand the limitations of such big screen phones such as battery life. It's o.k and I will easily get 1 and half days use out of it but thats because I am always doing something on it e,g on the internet, using apps and texting etc.

It does have some niggles as occassionally you have to wait couple of second when opening and closing certain apps as there is a delay/blank screen but I am hoping these minor niggles will be sorted with Android 2.2.
