Jules, I hope your time will come to win some points competitions :) (I say much the same to myself!) Even Droopsnout is winning these days so apparently it can happen ;)

On the thread topic - I thought we generally restarted because the thread was huge and that's not healthy for a message board, the fresh start and playing nice business is a happy side effect, like trying to be virtuous for new year... :o

    And, for Curly

This little piggy went to market
    This little piggy went home
This little piggy had roast beef
    This little piggy had none
And this little piggy went ....
Off and started a website, set up offers, got his mug on some mugs and got a whole makeover!

Hope tomorrow has some nice surprises :rotfl:

That is a very good point!

It would be useful to know what time of the day the winners are picked.

I won a quiz once and I always answer them around 8-9 am

I think someone mentioned here on the last thread that random number generators (which is how they would pick the winners) were actually quite hard to write so PB might do something like restrict it to a certain postcode area when picking the winners for the quizzes.
Like today for example, there is one winner in manchester and 2 others in stockport.

I am not picking on winners of PB.

I won a quiz once myself and nearly fainted from shock. Was grinning like an idiot the whole day.

And piggy party tonight, we should start a new thread in the arms for the unveiling of new piggy otherwise we'd go through this thread in one night with all the chatting. :p

EDIT: and thank you to people who've been posting the answers. I've been trying not to stay awake all night lately!!

  • Can I ask if anyone has received any piggypoints for ordering from cd-wow if they used an e-voucher? (not a pigsback one!).

I placed an order for some dvd boxsets hoping to get some piggypoints but they were never credited. They got back to me said that as I had used a voucher no points were issued and told me to go read the Terms and conditions of the offer.

I went to read the Terms and conditions using the cd-wow page on pigsback http://www.pigsback.com/offers/538601100/default.asp# clicking at the bottom however the terms and conditions page seems to be missing? and it gives the error message :

    The page cannot be found

The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

How do they expect me to actually read them then?

Does everyone else get this error or is it just me? I have now written to them and asked them to maybe credit my points or maybe credit me some points for pointing out this error!

Just heard back from they refusing piggy points, telling me the terms and conditions are on another link - I cannot see this link actually anywhere on the cdwow purchase page though. they are a bit crap really, telling me to read something that is actually not on the site!!!

And as if my magic the Terms and conditions suddenly appear back where they should be after I pointed out the error!!!

I'm very sorry but I cannot credit you with PiggyPoints for this purchase. The Terms and Conditions are available to see on the CD's section of the CD WOW! offer http://test.pigsback.com/offers/556896389/

Also as you have purchased many items from CD WOW! before I am sure you have
previously read the Terms and Conditions before you made this purchase.

Apologies again but the I must follow the Terms stated by CD WOW!.

    Kind Regards,

  • to be honest i think it's to to keep them from getting completely rinsed! if you want true cash for points you can withdraw through betfair although i've never done it, i would rather just feed my cd habit!

Hehe i'm right there with you on that one!

2nd CD-Wow voucher on its way to me

I remember reading the T&C of the cdwow offer and it did say you won't get points if you've used an e-voucher. I've never tried, but I always go through Quidco when I use a voucher, you definitely get your cashback through them. Granted, I never spend more than a couple of quid after the voucher deduction, but every penny counts!

Thanks they actually corrected the website and added the Terms and conditions back to the page as they were missing originally.

It's just when I placed my order the Terms and conditions were not there so how could I possibly read them???

It seems they only quote the T&C's when in their favour, like the Mansion points - they stated that they would be credited in 7 days and they have not been have they?

I remember (from quite a while ago) you would not get piggy points if you used an e-voucher. That was about the same time that CD-WOW were stopping people from going through and affliate link AND using an e voucher. Personally, I don't shop at CD-wow anymore because there many cheaper sites out there. (bangcd.com, cdjungle.com, 101cd.com)

And also, with the Mansion points, much as we'd like to blame pigsback, it's the mansion marketing people who have got it wrong this time! They had the whole NFL special sign up offer at the same time as Pigsback and had a sudden surge in numbers. Pigsback can't credit you the points unless they've had confirmation from Mansion. And it's Mansion that are slow to confirm.
  • Been away for the last few days so apologies if this has already been asked and answered but I've not got my Mansion points, what's the best thing to do, e-mail them? Or are they not giving them?
2p off is still 2p off!
