Sorry SnV, didn't realise that. Brilliant .
Why not send a second email each time, perhaps in the evenings, expressing your disappointment at not hearing anything constructive from them, explaining that you will continue to correspond with them in an attempt reach a settlement with them.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Hi
I did use the content of some templates but tailored them to suit my own situation.
As it happens I did include a statement of affairs in my proposals. This was purely a personal choice as DCA's or creditors have no legal right to request this.
However, I took this choice so that in the event things did go to court then I could demonstrate that I was being completely reasonable in dealing with my creditors.
However all they had was a sheet showing income/expenditure and a list of all my creditors, amount owed to each, and the prorata payment each would be getting (so they could see I was being fair to all my creditors).
I have not provided anything more personal than this (payslips, statements from other accounts etc). Only Wonga have demanded to see such and unless they take me to court they're not going to!

I'm trying to commit myself to snowballing but I have been rejected for a 0% card to make things a whole load easier (not surprisingly ... !) ... I could really do with getting the interest frozen, the number of years I have been paying minimums ....0

Hi SNV
I just wanted to say what a great post, reading through it so many things rang true for me, our light bulb moment was just last week when we realised we are 39000 in debt, but since posting on this forum and the positive feed back from other great people i feel a lot better and have totally changed my attitude towards spending and paying off my bills. never ever again will i have anything on credit. keep up the good work and good luck. Ok, want to know my secret? I simply asked them if they would and the majority have. Words such as 'I would be grateful if you could assist me by freezing all interest and charges which will enable me to reduce my balance and repay you more quickly'.
But you are not likely to get this unless you have already defaulted on your agreement.........

It looks like my war of attrition against Wonga is slowly wearing them down.
After sending them daily emails I finally get a personal response stating that my offer has been rejected as too low but they 'would not refuse any payment' and have provided me with their bank details so I can set up a standing order.
So once they start accepting these payments lets see what happens.........LBM & Debt July 2010 [STRIKE]£19,000[/STRIKE] now - £11,619.60 Long Haul Supporter #247

OK. So far, so good. Well done.
Although you seem to be handling Wonga admirably, could I suggest you point out to them that your offer to them is proportional to the debt you owe them and that to offer any more, were it even possible, would put other creditors at a disadvantage. Would they please, therefore, reconsider their position.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
