Does anyone know what happens to the tick if you enter a comp through a duplicate post, which is later merged with the original post that you haven't seen? Do you lose the tick because the dupe is no longer the primary post?0

Thank you so much. It is very helpful0

Amilucky? I'm another one that's stuck to old style. I just don't like the new style board! Don't like the colours or the layouts, I hate that box in the OP and what really really annoys me is that the previous thread/next thread links are right at the bottom of the page below the reply box rather than above the reply box like they are on old style. Considering I go through every singly comp using the previous thread button having to scroll down on each thread (especially since the scroller on my mouse is broken) is actually quite a pain! On old style unless the OP is a long post the previous thread link is visible on my screen without having to scroll so it's much easier.
Like others have said people are using the entered button to see which threads they have read rather than ones they have necessarily entered so I agree that it would make more sense to have the thanked threads with a tick rather than the entered!
Anyway as I'm not switiching boards (and like Amilucky? I would actually be tempted to stop using this site if they made me then) I shall carry on with my method of thanking all comps regardless of whether or not i've entered so I know where I left off2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
2013: £134.960 -
I LOVE the new entered button. My only slight grumble is that I would like it to show up when I search for threads too.0

ok MSE Towers Team - are you still following this thread ?
because if so i've found what i believe to be a fault !, if it isnt though or cant be rectified then my trial under the "new look less bright" will deffo be over
when you tick the enter button, the little green/white tick is displayed on the main board and you can see from there 'when browsing' if youve already done that comp, BUT
if you do a search the tick doesnt show in search results, the subscribed thread button will, but not the tick !
this is really important to me as i have a blitz on comps of a certain type, for example, on a sunday i might decide to enter all comps for nintendo products, so i go to adv search, put in 'nintendo' choose title only, competitions board, untick child forums and away i go on my blitz campain, however after doing several entered ticks, if i run the same search another day, its looks like ive got loads to do when in fact ive really entered them all, except the new ones posted since my last search, the subscribed thread button made this easy for me to identify those and for this enter button to serve a meaningful purpose, it needs to be showing too in search results
so Team MSE is this a bug ?

These links have been sent to MSE Ian in case the MSE team are no longer following this thread. It would be good to know if this problem is a temporary glitch or here to stay - I am still subscribing to threads in order to see the comps I have entered when using the Search facility.0 -
Also think the new entered button is great, but and this might be a very big but, would it be possible at all (sorry if already asked) if there was a way to link this to your user profile, to show how many comps you've entered in total? Would be nice to keep track. No worried if not possible and well done implementing the new feature.30 years of comping = 0 wins.
10 years of Lottery = £15.50.
I'm sorry for anything I did wrong in a previous life. But, please let me win an iPad.0 -
Thanks - really pleased with the new entered button.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
