  • No he hasn't been to see it, which is abit odd. However, I guess it depends what he wants the car for.

The description I provided in the auction is, to the best of my knowledege correct.
  • I'd just leave it to one side for the moment.

Offers stand for as long as the auction runs (I think, do check!), so you could accept at the last minute if nothing else comes in.

If you are not happy with the offer, just reject it, the potential buyer will probably make an increased offer if he/she wants the car.;)

I wouldn't accept any offers from anyone who hasn't seen the car, and I would never offer on a car unless I had seen it.
I have seen some right rubbish that people (especially private) have advertised as immaculate.

If I had a bit of cash £650 is the sort of money I'd risk on a car I hadn't seen on ebay, especially if it was a long distance away and was a car I particularly wanted. If it is a Puma as previously mentioned I'd have thought they'd be quite desirable (in fact I'd have thought they'd be a future classic) and I'd hold out for a bit more, maybe £700, £750.

    Completely agree.

I went and looked at a Volvo S80 months back, car I did want to get, was automatic.

Seller didn't tell me he was really a trader, I travelled 180 Miles to go and view the car and he told me he had it in a locked garage, with lighting, and said to come at 12am (Midnight) as he worked late.

Thought was fair enough as he had a lighten garage so could view it etc, went to see it, he said it was 'great condition'.

What a joke, the drivers window feel off it's runners soon as the door was opened 'oh all S80's do that, it's a simple fix' I was told.

Discovered it was really a manual.
Started it and a tried the clutch, was slipping like mad, late besides that, looked like it was used as a take away house, chips, paper, wrappings everywhere.

He was selling it for £400, I walked away - cheap or not cheap for a S80, it was a mess!

Yes; certainly not the whole auction. That would allow the sellers free reign wouldn't it.

Bought the V6 from Ebay without seeing it. That said, I knew the seller previously, and though I hadn't seen the car knew I could trust him.....
If it was me buying, I'd insist on going to view before actually paying.

Thought it was 48 hrs, it is actually in the general section

    This is a personal observation to the op;

Everytime someone has asked me to close an auction early, I have bettered the offered price.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
