it's about 59p per kg /5.90 per 10kg

Much cheaper than Shipton Mill but I question the quality. Anyone used them before? I'm off to do a bit of research because even with delivery, the price is brill and could save me a fortune.

asda are selling doves organic wholemeal strong flour for 57p at the moment be quick.

daveidipp, can I ask whereabouts in ASDA the doves organic wholewheat flour is - our local store stopped stocking it a while ago (it's not with the flours and it's not with the organic section), but maybe I just can't find it!

I'm on my last bag from the last offer when it was 60p ish, and really need some more.

I know its not what you asked for but if you are using that amount of wholegrain flour why not invest in a cheap mill and mill it yourself?

Wheat is really cheap if you can find a local supplier so don't have to pay shipping costs. Also, you mill it when you need it so the flour is incredibly flavourful.

I buy Canadian and English wheat and mix them together. Mill when I need it and you can smell the lovely oils as its milling.

I just wondered whether you could recoup the cost of a mill with the cheapness of wheat? And of course wheat lasts for years so you buy in bulk.

I know quite a few of us use breadmakers, i was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere where to buy a sack of strong flour for the bread, the bags im buying at the moment last me about 2 loaves

ive searched google for breadmills in the midlands and theyve all been turned into apartments

A friend of mine gets all his flour from there and recommended it, I don't have masses of space to store flour but I and another friend shared a 10kg bag of wholemeal recently. I haven't actually got round to using it yet as I bought quite a bit of the Dove's farm wholemeal when it was first on at 60p.

I would recommend wessex mill as well. If you order less than 30kg the postage is £3 and the flour is lovely.They use local farms and print on the bag which farm has supplied the wheat. It is not necessary to add sugar when using their flour and we always get really tasty bread.
I get a large 16kg bag and my f-i-l gets a 10kg bag and we share the postage costs. 16kg bag costs £15.50
