This one might go for around £30 to £35 including postage.

Seems that you've missed that one too.

Too expensive for what it offers, especially with Pentium 3. They already have a monitor.

Example: £100 would get you this: DELL%20GX280%20SFF%20SYSTEM%20A.jpg

Without the monitor, it would be around £30 less.

Looking around my reveal better deals.

Is this the infamous Optiplex GX270?

Don't worry, I wasn't actually recommending that particular system. Which is why I didn't create a link to an actual sale.

It's just indicative of what is possible to get on eBay within budget.

Tantalizing deals Donnie, but where are the links? (and I assume these Dells are not auctions)

Links are in post #23. Buy Now prices. Some with 30 day warranty.

That one was available for 99.99 delivered, but I didn't post the link as a monitor was not requested and I wasn't necessarily recommending that particular unit. Just an illustration of what was available.

If OPs old monitor (it was mentioned as not being good) is a small or crt type, now might be the time to get a replacement 17" sized one in the bundle - it's for her mother and a larger monitor makes for better usability. The amount of space you save with a flat one is also great. And it looks like there are plenty of sub £150 bundles with a 17" mon.

Oh, and those Ebay listings - £25 P&P looks typical.

But there are also many with free or £9.99 delivery.
    Examples: Free
£9.99 Free There are many more.

These are not recommendations, just illustrations.

As to the auctions, you can factor the postage into your bid.

    Whassamatter with you? :)

Nothing wrong with Tier1, as they give a decent warranty etc, but the system to which you linked is simply not good value. Take it easy young man. ;)
