  • Chances are they have probably sold out even if the stock checker shows available. Reading other B&Q threads it seems the stock checker is very unreliable.

Unfortunately there isn't really anyone I can ask to pick one up for me as my family are away, plus I don't like to put them out too much if I can help it. It's so annoying when some people blatantly get lots of them just because they are free leaving none for others who might benefit from using one! I did see somewhere that another disabled person found it easier to use than a conventional roller, and it would have been nice to try one out. I have a whole house to do on a very low budget so I actually needed paint and rollers etc! Oh well...
  • Does anyone know if Bridgend store has any looking at stock checker it does say yes but it's not letting me reserve. But the stock was checked yesterday it says. So wondering if it's worth making a trip.

I went to Bridgend store on Friday about 6pm and they didn't have any left. The guy said that the 500 they had were all gone.

Someone said somewhere on MSE that the B&Q stock checker is unreliable. I have the same issue. I don't know whether to believe the young lad who answered the phone and said they had none left as he only asked a mate standing next to him and they didn't seem to do a stock check or anything. I'm not saying he was lying but sometimes when the offer display is empty more can be found on the shelf that they normally sell them on, or they can be found out the back, and he didn't seem to check anywhere. Of course they may have had people phoning up all day so they may have be certain, lol. I'm really clutching at straws here... I REALLY WANT ONE!!! The only little bit of hope that I'm still clinging to is the lad said to ring today as they may put more out (which is strange if they have none in stock).
  • 500!! blinking eck thats loads oh well if they aint got one then there's no point.

i know the feeling hun I didn't actually know the offer was on until I read this thread this morning so I'm a bit late in the game to be looking but they may have another delivery like your lad said and put more out.

...or they may have allocated a set number for each day, which would be sensible so everyone gets a chance. If the offer started on Friday, nobody who works would have been able to get one until after work, by which time they would have been out of stock. The offer on Friday was really only open to self-employed or unemployed people!

They seem to have more stock available in some stores than others which is a bit strange, unless the stores vary greatly in size of course.

Is there any way to use another pot, to save buying proper Dulux one?
(My wife says I'm tight too!)

Just phoned my local store again and have been told by a very helpful chap that they only had 250 and they sold out straight away. He said they have already had people queueing up outside today to get them but they haven't got any! Grrrr...
