Any standard ADSL wireless router should work on TT. Lots of Netgear DG834G's on eBay starting at around a tenner.

    Two options:
1-Call talk talk up and threaten to leave unless they send you a free one
2-Get the TENDA one working unless you've bought completly the wrong sort (if cable modem for an ADSL phone line... vice versa.... or a plain router without any kind of modem)

Is this the one you bought?

D-Link DSL-2640B or Netgear DG834GT. Both got good Broadcom chipset (6348) and available on ebay. 2640B works best on my line, but GT's more plentiful.

That Tenda one should work fine on TT-it's a standard ADSL modem router.
Never heard of the brand though.

They're a cheap one ebuyer stock, I've have two of their PCI wireless N cards for over a year which function fine (although rather limited wireless N, can't do the 5Ghz stuff). Also doesn't play nicely with default/built in windows drivers you need to not lose the disk :)

It was however much cheaper than the competition at the time :A

that's the one, and I paid full price! I'd keep it if I could get it working but I've tried various different settings with no joy.

If you log in to the router and tell us the settings you are using, then someone may be able to help you, unless it's actually a hardware failure.
All you need is your TT username and password to configure it.
If you have been messing with the settings then do a factory restore and start again.

Here are the standard talk talk settings, the other information you'll need is your account details -Phone them up and ask if you've lost them (usually get sent out by letter)

ouch, firmware misflashes can turn your router into an expensive doorstop.
