Thanks spiro for the link I have looked everywhere for this kind of info for years, but never been able to find it. The rules have changed drastically over the years, used to have to get permission off the Home Office weeks and weeks in advance ...complete pain in the derriere I must say...to take my medication through. Yes I will have a letter off my doctor and according to this I will need to call the airline to get prior approval. The only problem I have is I put my medication into the Hold a few years ago, (the year when they really cracked down due to the liquid bomb thing... 2007 I think) but when I got there the pressure in the Hold had caused the glass bottle to explode in my suitcase leaving me with hardly any of my medication left. Not exactly the best of holidays for me. I will speak to the airline tomorrow and explain the situation to them and see what I should do. Thanks again though spiro, really appreciate your help. ;)

How about decanting it into a couple of plastic bottles (ask chemist for some) and put each one inside a tied up plastic bag. This is what I do every time I fly with things like shampoo and have never had a accident yet.
