I'll say jwil, those PE t-shirts are over a tenner !!!

I've bitten the bullet and I'm going to join Sl1mm1ng world tonight, I've got to get back on track and if I don't have that weekly weigh-in I'll not do it :o.

I know it's expensive but personally I don't think you can put a price on health so I'm going to go for it and try and get to target as soon as I can so I don't have to pay weekly fees :D.

If I don't go then I know (being the weakling that I am :o) that the 2st that I've already lost will pile back on :(

Have fun at SW, I've been meaning to start doing it from home, but I'm not motivated enough at the moment. I think for this reason too, I shouldn't go to class yet either. Once I'm in the right frame of mind, I'll go back.

    Good luck with it though!

  • My prob witrh SW and in all healthy eating plans is all the planning. I start off ok but so easily fall off the wagon. Also doesnt help that Im quite a picky eater so half the stuff I wont touch and this is the improved me (I was a horrible child for my Mum at dinner time!!).

Ooop meant to say good news on the PE shirt and good luck with SW Im sure you will do well.

Plodding along nicely here, have kind of given up with GC due to starting SW - all this fruit and veg isn't cheap and we have to eat loads ! I'll just have to try and watch money as carefully as possible under the circumstances.

KP, I'm not planning much with SW, just day-to-day at the moment until I get to grips with it all. Seems to be much better now than it used to and I'm not spending half my day weighing, checking and cooking !

Money-wise nothing to report really, all bills paid for this month. HM Revnues have sent us 'notification' of how much we'll be getting, cheque being sent separately so we've just got to wait for that now. Will be paid into the bank and subsequently paid off the c/c as soon as the cheque clears !

Have a busy week with Guides, lots of organising and planning to do - our holiday is looming and I've got lots of paperwork to sort out before I can even take them anywhere !

Am trying not to spend other than food, no treats etc and trying to keep busy here at home instead of wandering into town. Itching to get out in the garden and start sowing my seeds but it's not been very good weather so I'm hanging on for a bit longer. They always seem to catch up anyway, no matter how late I am getting started.

Jwil, hope all is ok with you, sending positive thoughts your way xxxxx

Yay ! The taxman finally delivers :D

It's not a huge amount but will make another dent in the c/c when it clears.

Still no news on redundancy but hopefully there is an alternative plan with DH employer - no news is good news as they say ! Just got to keep our fingers crossed and hope the rumours are true !

Slimming world going great, almost looking forward to getting weighed on Weds evening. DD is making shorbread but I've got a weetabix cake in the oven so I don't feel left out, I just have to remember I can't eat it all in one go  :rotfl: :o.

Littlewoods payment has come out of the bank today so I'll update sig once the new totals are showing. I'm itching to get everything paid off asap, hopefully before redundancy (if it happens).

Yay to cheques from the taxman - always good when they are coming your way!

Hope DH gets some good news from his job, it will be nice if there's an alternative to redundancy.

Good luck with the weigh in later!

Thanks jwil, hope things are going ok your end xxx

Weigh in was a success, I lost 3.5lb so I'm on my way ! Only about another 100 to go (well, not quite that much, bit it feels like it!) The diet is going really good, I'm not hungry (which is a miracle for me!) and I feel like I'm in control of my food rather than the other way around for a change. However, it's not cheap and my food bill has gone up (why is it that carp is so much cheaper than fresh veg etc). You'd think the gov't would be encouraging us to eat healthily but on a budget it's not far off impossible . Sorry rant over :o.

Still no redundancy news (where'd that roll-eyed smiley go !) It's starting to get to us both a bit now, it's horrible being in limbo .... can't even think about applying for a new job as if he is made redundant, we don't want to lose the money he'll get. Suppose the only positive is that he'll have 3 months in lieu so that should give him a bit of time to play with.

Fairly quiet week coming up so I plan to get a bit of exercise done to help with the weight loss. Hopefully the weather will cheer up a bit too, the rain makes me feel miserable :(.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend xx

    Happy Valentines Day :smileyhea:happyhear:grinheart !

We had our 'day' on Saturday night so not doing a whole lot this evening, will go and have a cuddle up on sofa in a while I think ;).

It's house and pet insurance renewal time here so I've been trawling the sites (through Quidco :money:) to try and get the best quotes. House Insurance I've managed to chop a couple of quid off a month but pet insurance has gone up with my current insurer and I'll be blowed if I can find a better quote ! I'll probably just leave it, but the £2-odd for house insurance is swallowed up with the doggie - at least I'm no worse off :T.

I've remembered to cancel the relevant DDs this time :o:D.

Not much else to report here (I'm a bit boring really :rotfl:).

Where has the last week gone !!?? Seems to have flown by, not that I'm complaining because Spring is just around the corner. The rhubarb is poking through and things are starting to grow again :D. Shame it's been raining again most of this week  I dearly want to be out in the garden !

Payday next week so on countdown now :p. I'll be paying off quite a bit of the c/c on the 24th, whatever is left in the bank is going to disappear to this blasted card.

We've still decorating to do but it's on hold for the time being while we wait to hear about DH job. I can't realistically see it being done before the Autumn - I'm going to save up this time and not pay for it on credit :o.

I got weighed again last night and I'm anoter 3lb lighter so I'm very pleased with my not-so-little self :j. I'm taking it a week at a time and not setting a target, I'm sure I'll know when I feel comfortable in myself so I'm plodding along for the time being.

Right, nearly lunchtime, my tummy's rumbling ! :p
