Worst part for me is my street, despite only having 7 houses has a convent a school and two care homes all within our weird little cul -de- sac. Meaning everyday with out fail I see at least one royal mail van, never for me though sigh and there are always other companys delivering and keep getting my hopes up.
That is a wierd and unfortunate (for a comper) little cul-de-sac you live in there!! Quite funny though!!£500, King of shaves runner up prize (book and shaving stuff)0 -
Dont I know it, I now know the sound of every vehicle which goes up and down our street, including mondays biffa bins to the care homes and 3663, tues and thurs accsess bus, yes a bus comes randomly down the street, mon/wed/thurs city council bus, refrigerated van every day, cleaning van weekdays, I can detect a royal mail van from 200m! haha, that would so be my pointless skill if you bet was still on tv.
But hey ho 2 post vans today, and my postman brought only a bill :P, However I had paid it this morning before he got here, so I feel like thats a tiny i beat you win , muwahahahamany thanks to all posters, wishing you all luck xxfinally got my first win, 12/09/10WINS = Sept : New Look Voucher, Plum Baby FoodOct = Plastique Skyline necklace0 -
I went for a year without winning a thing (Well, technically I did, but it was from Absolute Radio and I missed their call so they passed the prize on...yes, I am still bitter about this!) then a few weeks ago I won a £500 shopping spree and I've just won a camera
So don't give up! It'll happen

I've been comping for a couple of months now and have won the few small prizes listed in my sig.
I must enter at least 100 per day, I'm not sure if it's the winning or taking part that I like - it's certainly addictive!!
Have you looked into Twitter yet? Lots of short comps to enter that may only run for a day, there's a thread somewhere on here which lists all out Twitter namesOctober wins:Step-up 3D soundtrackInfidel on DVD signed by David BaddeiliPhone 3GS0 -
I started comping Jan 1st 2010.. It was my new years resolution to do xmas 2010 for free - I was entering like a mad woman for those first few months.. must have spent hours everyday doing them (and yes, that was using roboform) I just entered anything and everything at all. I gave up comping properly in July as I have now reached my target and done xmas 2010 free of charge. I dont know if it was beginners luck or whether it was because alot of the comps I won was the ones where effort was required. My family are going to have the best Christmas ever and its not cost us a thing. Had over 100 wins January-July - biggest wins were Xbox 360 and games & £200 mothercare/early learning centre vouchers, other wins have included £30 hmv vouchers (actually won 2 £30hmv vouchers lol) £50 love to shop vouchers, £25 halfords vouchers, £45 itunes vouchers - baby toys (for my baby son) and enough make up and toiletries to last me forever lol plus loads of junk food from McCain and Doritos lol
Just wanted to say, it's not all doom and gloom. x Good luck everyone and thanks so much all who take time to post comps xStarted comping 01.01.2010. Wins 2010(Jan-June £2,535)January wins - Models own lipstick, Beauty Pod, Onya Weigh Bags, Figleaves/Always win, Crabtree&Evelyn Chocolate indulgence win, No7 Mascara, Green, furry, horny hat:rotfl:,DVD. Sometimes it can be really disheartening reading the IWIWIW board seeing all the wins, somedays it seems everyone is winning but you, August has been very quiet and I felt that my luck must have run out after a big win (I'm not complaining mind!
) This thread has uplifted me abit and made me realise how lucky I have been in the past few months, I'm sure if we had a IDWIDWIDW (I didn't win) board there would be hundreds of posts a day.
Thing is I love comping with or without the wins though, it cheers me upComping wishlist for 2017

I've only been entering the odd competition here and there. I managed to win concert tickets with an overnight stay last year and two holidays to the US this year. Keep going everyone, your day (& phone call or postman) will come!0
