To be honest I cant see how you can have a COP if you just bung it in a box..... yes, you have proof of buying (online) but not of posting!
Surely it has to be stamped somewhere to show that RM have now got it?
I shall wait and see what happens! Its a grey area!0 -
I would never risk it. Inkjet printer ink will run and smudge when wet, so what would happen if it rains?0

I've been using this for months too... I was confused at the publicity over it just being launched. I really like it for ebay stuff because you don't end up with a queue of people tutting behind you when you have a list of items all with different services that people have chosen.
However, I'm even more confused because two local PO branches have told me they don't get paid for accepting parcels, or Special Delivery, pre-paid online... one was extremely rude, wouldn't give me a Special Delivery tracking number, and told me I should 'use the Post Office properly' (I took my business elsewhere).... however, I definitely heard the man from the PO doing the publicity on the 'Today' programme say that PO branches would still get paid. I don't want to be accused of 'helping them to shut down rural Post Offices' every time I take parcels in and yet I have emailed the Post Office and Royal Mail's 'customer service' with no reply from either.
Does anyone know the true answer to this?
Thanks:T0 -
What would be good was if the postie also collected your online postage and signed your POP.
Then ebayers would never clog up the queue again !
Sounds too much like the service you'd expect from a courier firm though so probably never gonna happen.0 -

Thinking logically but I dont know the true answer BUT if you have paid elsewhere I doubt if the PO taking in your parcle would get the usual amount.
Though there might be some very small token somewhere, hence bosses able to say, yes of course they get paid!0 -
This is a joke, the post office are either not clued up on it or really hate the customers as theres nothing in it for them.
Example 1
Post Office Stated I had weigh each item as it was apparent I would be defrauding the Post Office by using a lower weight, all were correct, apology don't be silly.
Example 2
Special Delivery Item, Printed Postage online and took to Post Office, woman was very aggresive saying I fraudunlenty printed this at home and why the hell should she accept it seeing I didn't pay her anything. I was calm, knowing a telephone number I rang a CSM for South West and they rang her directly. Still No Apology.
And Number 3 ( i mean example)
Recorded Delivery Items, most of my local po's state you need to pay an extra 68 pence to send recorded here, even though they have right postage.
I have complained to Drake House, Plymouth so many times but they don't do anything. Will email someone higher up

I did find something in the small print online, but of course have now lost it again. It did say though that if receipt of posting is required then the packages must go into the Post Office.
