Bang goes that idea thensuch a shame as it would have suited me to print postage for my regular items as they are all a standard weight and size, but I won't risk it if I haven't got any POP.
I'm going to my small PO now as I have a huge parcel and can't park in the main PO in town. I will take my smaller items with me and see if she'll let them go large letter, if not I'll have to walk into town later.

Just wanted to say I use smartstamp for my busniess and If I want POP I have to queue up like the everybody else. They did give me pads of the POP cards so I could fill it in before I get there then they just check them and stamp them. So I imagine it would be the same this way.
Oh and Soolin one advantage of doing the stamps yourself YOU decide if it fits in the large letter slot, I've not had any probs so far with ones on the border as I will get charged extra via my account if my postage is wrong!DFW no.630!

Has anyone tried this?
Is there the facility to print a receipt for the postage purchased?

I've just had a quick go on a couple of items - whilst you don't get a receipt as such, you do get a confirmation email with all the details on, for each label you print.0 -
This hasn't just been launched!! I have been using it for almost 3 months now and I have been talking about how good it is on the amazon board since July. I am very happy with the system, it is much quicker and easier, you don't need any special labels, just paper, and a printer, I highly recommend it. The only downfall for some is that you don't get proof of postage - royal mail hasn't lost a book for me yet in 7 months so in my opinion it is worth the time saved. My darling boy born December 20110

This announcement today baffles me because as you say its been available for months! Its headline news as well. I might just use it in an emergency if I need to get something off quick over a weekend.0 -
