Strap on a pair, accept that you've been a wally and get the bill paid before it ends up wrecking your credit rating. OP, how long have you got left on your contract? They'll need to recover the arrears within the life of the contract, so am I right in thinking that you have 6m left? In which case their offer is quite fair.
Remember they are doing you a big favour, as you are getting 6m interest free credit on your debt.No free lunch, and no free laptop
