i would give it a day or 2, and then check with the hotel direct as to if the booking is there or not.

    Will do, thanks.

Things is, they've not charged my credit card from what I can see, so this is probably a pay-at-hotel type of reservation - which is fine - but will my printed reservation which says £14 a night ensure that I'm charged £14 a night, and not £150+ a night that that room usually costs?

If this is the case and they dont debit any monies before hand you are more likely to be charged the 150 a night

Would I be obliged to accept that rate, being that the rate I confirmed during reservation was £14 a night?

Its up to you if you want to risk it but travelling across the other side of the world expecting to get a room rate for £14 a night when it should be £150 would be risking it, would you pay the £150 a night if you had to?

No I'd stay with family which was plan A anyway.

Put it this way, this is a "no cancellations" rate. If I turn up at the hotel and they say sorry, that's a mistake, it's not £14 a night it's £150 a night - can they charge me any money for not accepting the increase and choosing to just walk away?

I would email the hotel and ask them if its the correct rate, If they say no its a mistake, they cant hold you to it, if you haven't even arrived, so just cancel.
If its correct, you have a bargain!
    £100 - £10,000

Nothing to lose? You said above:

    So which is it?

Is the hotel entitled to increase the rate or total cost, or charge more than as quoted by the travel agent in the confirmed booking? That's all I'm trying to establish.

I cant clarify that Im afraid its down to the hotel at the end of the day in my personal opinion I would say not a chance you will get the room rates for £14 a night

Aint heard of the agent or come across the site before

    The choice is yours
