Having a grumpy toddler is probably the best MS device ever invented, I've never flown round a supermarket so quickly, certainly no time for browsing the naughty things lol Suppose I'd best go and get on my hands and knees and get this laminate floor washed, I don't know whether it's my tecnique, mop, a comination of the two or what, but it seems to be the only way I can get it clean?

jaxx46-how on earth have you managed without hot water for 3 days?! I feel for you.

    Hello!

Lunchtime @ w*rk - no one to blame for not getting in this morning except my own sleepy head!

Dsis treatment went ok yesterday and has to wait 4 weeks for results. she has two holidays during that time which should keep her occupied.

Dinner tonight is D*minos 2 for tuesday and then DH is working nights tonight and all day tomorrow again although he has been told he can sleep a few hours tonight. I will do the budgets for the next few months tonight and then look at lists for xmas etc. There's a particular debt that's annoying me - not huge but high interest so I want to formulate a plan to get that shifted. Might as well make use of the extra money DH is earning.

    Will pop back later x

Hooray we have hot water  to british gas, my poor kettle can have a rest now. I am so looking forward to a bath tonight. Luckily this past weekend there was only me and DP so we managed ok, but I did laugh last night when DS asked DD1 to colour his hair, he was not impressed with the cold water rinse, although I do think she was milking it rather telling him it had to be rinsed for 5 mins, still it was nice to see them getting on for a change. Am off now to make a chicken curry from my rubber chicken ttfn

    Afternoon all,

Welcome to newbies, you will like it here.

Misting rain this morning here....I was wakened by a wet Kerry bursting the bedroom door open and attacking me....cue bedlinen being changed, was going to leave it until to-morrow as forecast not good for to-day. Happily the sun came out and it is quite warm so maybe washing will dry....will take it in later to be sure it dries overnight.

Met a friend for coffee, when I came back OH had been sowing seeds....not sure what he sowed, neither is he as he never makes a record or marks trays, so we could have an interesting time of it when time comes to transplant! Saved some seeds from my London Pride and pansies, lots of antirrhinum seeds not quite ready to sow yet, need to move some of the self seeded foxgloves too...not to-day as my self appointed torture for to-day is decluttering under the stairs....gave something like 20 jackets to a charity about 2 years ago, the ones left in there seem to have bred in the meantime, can't get at the shelves in there...would be ideal for my jars of jam and chutney and somewhere to keep empty jars instead of top of kitchen cupboards!

Finished one of my cushion covers last night, too big for IKEA cushion pad, I'm afraid so will stuff all 3 when they are all finished, next is DS3's jumper for Christmas, have back and front almost done, was going to do sleeves and top of jumper in one piece, knitted wrist to wrist, but might need too much concentrarion for the humour I'm in at present, so maybe just a Guernsey type pattern from armholes up....wish I were a bit more organised and didn't change my mind as I knit a garment on what I am going to do, times like this I envy those who never knit without a pattern...I rarely use one!

Dinner to-night will be roast chicken and mix of vegetables, with some of our lovely potatoes, DD3 will be here, won't bother with pudding as she can't eat dairy or wheat, anyone ever made rice pudding with on water? No doesn't appeal to me either! Bought 1700g chicken marked €4.50, but it went through till at €3.50 so bargain I think....will get at least one more dinner and pot of soup so pleased.

Sile is recovering well from her visit to vet....doesn't want to go out, is now sitting on top of printer looking out into the back garden...bite looks clean and am cleaning it with disinfectant couple of times a day....am not her favourite Mammy on these occasions!

Still very few ripe blackberries here, will take a trip soon to a place where there used to be hazelnuts...must be 30 years since I was there, probably all cut down now, but very little traffic there so might get blackberries...too early for sloes until November, no ripe elderberries either...just gathering sugar at present to be ready to go when they arrive.

Hope that everybody has a lovely day and that problems work themselves out.

:jDiva-you're back! Course we remember you and we've been worried about you- hope you're ok,its lovely to see you post.x

I've had a frustrating day so far.DH and DS2 working at home and not letting me get on with things.DS1 got back from France very late last night, and slept in most of the morning.

I need to make another baby quilt before Sunday, another mate of the lads has the Christening for his baby son then.I've just been to pick some fabric and fleece, but I'm not starting today.

Aunty was very sleepy yesterday at the hospital, she seemed wheezy too.I had to help fill a form in for the OT dept,as my cousin wasnt going till last night,to do with grab rails and stairs etc.,but I really cant see her returning to live on her own.

I'm making a curry for tea, with paneer cheese , and am going to tackle some ironing now :( Hope everyone is having the best day they can- & welcome newbies.

Well it has been busy again today - there is so much still to get and do for DD's 21st party on Thursday (Her Birthday is actually on Saturday but she wanted her party on Thursday so that we can have a quiet family do on Saturday)

Went to the freezer trade shop and got all the foodie bits and bobs then went to Bargain Booze to pick up some lagers and a few mixers, after that went to the local cake shop to buy some black fondant icing and a cake topper (could have spent soo much more on cutters etc :rotfl:but I am being good this month)

Tomorrow I have to go to Asda, Aldi and Iceland for the final bits then I will make the cake tomorrow night and decorate it on Thursday morning followed by a lot of food prep - I am glad they are only 21 once! DS's isn't for another 5 years - it will take me that long to recover :rotfl:)

Will pop back later Take Care All xx
