MufcTazza - Since my post in January about this company I have received about 3 letters demanding money from me or they will do this or that to me.....I have ignored each one and so far so good. My advice would be to ignore any further letters, and whatever you do, don't part with any money!
  • I have just received a 'parking charge' from Premiere Parking Solutions for parking my car for 7 minutes in a retail car park in Southampton (where the first 30 minutes was free of charge anyway!!). The charge was £100, or £60 if I pay within 14 days. I have read through the forums on here and most people are saying just ignore it. Apparently they send out threatening letters to scare you, but give up if you keep ignoring them.

There is nothing on the document to say it's a parking ticket (it's referred to as a 'parking charge'). Am I right in thinking that a private parking firm CANNOT fine you if it's a parking charge? Tickets at supermarkets or private car parks may be disguised as fines, but they are really just invoices. Like any invoice, you don't have to pay and they cannot sue you.

Can they legally do anything if I just ignore this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks

If you read up to date threads instead of hijacking and bumping old ones you will see the current advice. Read the sticky threads below and create your own thread

When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

last time I looked at a map, Southampton was on the southern coast of england so is definitely in england (and wales - as in england and wales)

so as nobody has mentioned ignoring these PCN,S in england for 12 months since the law changed in oct 2012 , clearly looking at this old thread was a useless excercise

starting your own thread and reading the NEWBIES sticky thread would have been more constructive

hopefully you will now do this and get a positive outcome ;)
  • Hi all,

I have read all of the threads and greatly appreciate your reassuring comments about ignoring the charges from Premier Parking Logistics.

I am worried that my partners car that was also given a parking ticket is a company car. Would this make it easier for them to trace her and take her to court? Or should she, as stated, also ignore any correspondence from them?

    Thanks

And you think advice in a thread started on 16/8/2010 (now more than 4 years old) is one you now wish to follow in 2014? Wow - good luck with that!
I have read all of the threads

You evidently haven't read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky on page 1 of the forum index (one page back from here). I urge you as a priority to read that, and should you believe after reading that you should continue to ignore this, we won't hear from you again.

However, if you come to an alternative conclusion, please start a new thread of your own, as we work on the basis of only one case per thread.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi all! I have been following this forum for months as I have been ignoring all letters from PPS. Then they started sending solicitor letters and now today I have received a court letter stating I now owe £260!! It's from the county court business centre. I can't ignore this can I??? I'm worried now!
