    it is to big to fit in my wheelie bin

    Please, rather than 'the dump', please check if your local hospital could make use of it.
    They prefer to have the heavy old type TVs, as the LCD TVs are so easy to steal.
    Yes, sadly, people steal them from the hospitals.

    Try selling on Gumtree? (free ads - seem to go for around £20). If not, Freecycle/Freegle it which saves it going in the tip, or some charity shops sell them.

    its a shame my local hospital has small ones mounted high on the wall, i have a perfectly useable thomson 28'' 4:3 which i was given a year and a half ago as a freebie and now lies in the spare bedroom unused. they have had to put up with me visiting for the past 2 and a half years (and i'm there for another 2 years- i suffer from a kidney condition) so would be nice to give something back other than taxes and parking fees
    Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?
