    Anytime Livvyloo :)

Ok, day 3 of September (already??) I have had a rubbish week, emotionally (my happy pig is keeping me going, thankfully!)

Financially, it's going great! I've had 2 NSD so far (today and yesterday) and I've PAD-d £8.78 to CC. I have also resisted the Friday Night Takeaway Temptation and opted to make my own. Pitta breads, with chicken, spicy onions, salad and chips. Diet and pocket friendly! Winning!

I also, haven't used my tumble dryer AT ALL this September, almost impossible with two teething Penny's dribbling and generally being messy little boys! Mr P is also helping out with the Utilities debt (I swallowed my pride and asked - that's how much I want to be Debt-Free!) :p

ETA: Crikey, seems I'm still on Friday! Even better, I've avoided Friday AND Saturday Night Takeaway Temptation!

Got my FatClub on Monday and I *think* I'm entitled to a free week - I've kept 10% of my starting weight off for more than 10 weeks.

The cleaning money didn'y come through yesterday, I'm not suprised tbh. I'll be back on the phone Monday morning!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :) xx
    I'll get there!
  • Aw big hugs MrsP...there will be good and bad weeks. I think the worst thing for me is, you have all your friends there but no one else can go through it for you and it feels so lonely sometimes doesn't it?

But hey just look how well you have done and how far you have come and on top of everything you have your money in control.

Keep smiling...I love the pigs eyes they make me chuckle.

  • Lol, yeah, his eyes! Maybe he's happy because he's drowned his sorrows and now doesn't give a t0ss??

Yeah, it is lonely. I don't really want to talk to real life people about it. I don't think they get that we've simply fallen out of love. I feel sometimes they're only asking to dig out the 'real' reason for our seperation. I'm probably just paraniod!

I think my focused on the finances the now is a control thing, it's really the only thing I can influence now. Hopefully, it'll continue when I'm over this phase! It will, it blinking needs to!!xx
    I'll get there!
  • Well I think the money takes your mind off it too doesn't it? When I was with OH we got into so much debt as he always wanted the best of everything and wanted to be the Jone's, I always looked after the finances and every month we paid that much towards debt we had nothing to live off. When he decided he didn't want to share money any more I was quite relieved as managing my own money is a lot easier as no one else spending it...just me! I feel like I have come on so much with it since April...and like you its the one thing in my life I have control of.

I think falling out of love with someone is one of the main reasons for people splitting. There doesn't have to be any other reason behind it, thats the one thing I have told OH I don't blame him for. Its everything he has done to me during the period and since.

Reckon the cow might have a point ha ha. Get the wine out!!!

  • Quickly bounding in to confess my spending sins....

I've bought a double pushchair £160 (I got £20 knocked off, so that's good right? And now I have the double I have no excuse for keeping the car I can't afford anymore, so I'm going to clean it tonight and go round garages tomorrow)

I've just spend £12.35 in the supermarket of wine and crisps (*ashamed* BUT i did get the crisps that were on BOGOF, saving £1.85)

There's also a good chance I'm going to spend £10 on food later. I know, I know. I absolutley promise to take it out of this months shopping budget.

Right, I got it off my chest.

    Carry on. :)
    I'll get there!
  • Hi MrsP,

Brill news about your double pushchair, does it have an extra big basket underneath too so you can get all your groceries home without the pushchair tipping backwards when you hang you bags on the handles?

Any news on your car? Have you looked on autotrader to see how much you should be expected to get for it? I don't want you getting diddled by those sales men.

Don't worry about your extra spends, wine and crisps are essential...esp if you want eyes like the pig.

Lol, two bottle of wine and I actually thought I was the Pig!

Pennies have been keeping me on my toes for the past few days, so tonight I'm leaving the housework and updating (cleaning the bathroom's not going to save me any money now is it??)

    Firstly, spends!!

    September

    2nd : NSD :T
    3rd: NSD :T

4th: Well, the 4th was a spendy day, details in my last confession!

    5th: A little spendy

    Discount shop: £6
    Supermarket: £1.38
Lotto: £3 (you gotta be in it to win it! I won £1 back off this though, haven't checked the lotto ticket yet)
    Card: £1.18

6th: Technically, a NSD. (Had to pay a bill and lost 10p in the car park, saw the blighter roll out the car and away :o)

I haven't done anything about the car yet, I will do next week though!

Other good spendy news! Mr P gave me £62 to pay towards the Utilities arrears (good 'un!) SO they're down to an even £200 now. I also *think* he may help with some money towards the pushchair, we have sort of had a fall out about this though :(

I got my Free Week at Slimming Club, saving £4.95 ( I only lost 1/2lb this week, I just can't get past this weight! The wine, curry and crisps might have hindered this weeks loss!)

My lovely Mum bought me some new underware (£18 for 3 pairs of knickers! I wouldn't have paid that much!!) She then said she felt guilty about buying for me and not the boys, so Toddles got £15 worth of underware and Baby got £14 worth of long sleeved vests. So that's saved me a bit - I was goingt o have to buy these things for them anyway.

Anddddd I signed up for my Free Credit whatsit on Credit Expert and it's looking good! I thought it would have been a mess, even though I mostly always pay my bills on time. There was only one larte payment flagged, from British Gas from a couple of moths ago. It also said my outstanding debt of less that I thought, £16,221. Quite a bit less, anyone know how this works?

    There's no accounts overdue. :j

Oft, that was a jumbo post! :D
    I'll get there!
  • Hi MrsP,
Just popping by to see if you are OK as you haven't posted for a while.

Hope everything is going well for you.

  • Hi livvyloo! thanks for checking in on me :)

Had a crazy 10 days, both boys miserable with the cold, resulting in me up almost hourly in the night to see to them, I'm exhausted! Mum offered to have Baby last night and Toddles slept better, gave him a big chunky pillow, kept him elevated and he could breathe! Feeling guilty for not thinking of it sooner!

On my phone the now, so will update spending diary this evening. I'm struggling with it a bit, sort of losing track with my budget. I think next month I'll be doing to weekly, rather than monthly. I suppose it's just finding what works best for me. I should learn to walk before I run!

Hope everyone is ok, I'll be back later.xxxx
    I'll get there!
  • Hi MrsP,

Aw, its awful when kids are poorly. You just wish it could be you instead don't you? They get all distressed when they can't breathe.

Do you have a spreadsheet for your spends and budgets? I am on there every day putting some budgets up and reducing others depending on whats coming up in the next month.

It will take a couple of months to get your budget right for you, you'll get there though and you will feel proud!
