I don't know if it works on windows, but when I had trouble with black mould on walls in my old flat I was advised (by an environmental health officer, no less ;)) to use a mixture of bleach (the cheapest stuff you can buy) and vinegar. It did the trick beautifully, too.

One piece of advice, though - don't drip the bleach on your favourite jeans - it does rather ruin them. (Guess what I did!)

Well he knew nothing about chemistry  That mixture can release chlorine gas, which can suffocate in confined spaces :eek::eek: Please stick to one or the other, and don;t mix chemicals unless you;re sure what you're doing.

As this has fallen from the front pge of OS, I'll add it to the existing thread on cleaning mould from windows.

  • Before I get flamed I was told about Lakelands mould remover which I use to do around the seal on my bath. I don't know if it works on windows or not, and its not cheap at around a fiver, but works brilliantly for what I want so well worth the extra cash.Make sure you open the windows though, as it is a bit smelly for a short while.
  • Cheap here... value baby wipes..all off n clean in 2 minutes flat!

This does actually work, my wife does this and it stops it coming back as quick
  • Unless you know why the mould comes in the first place, it will come back after your remove it. I wrote about this at length, but I can't post a link here, so search for the following and enjoy!
