D&DD - pleased the muffins were good! do you think if you wrapped them in grease proof paper and ovened them for 5 mins like he recommends with the burgers they might be a bit more 'authentic'?

Thank you for this OP, just seen the thread (I get there in the end, ha ha) and ordered the book. Had lots of unexpected expense recently :( so takeaways are a no-no atm, hopefully this will satisfy my craving and my purse :)

Found this on Amazon by Todd Wilbur

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Top-Secret-Recipes-Creating-Brand-Name/dp/0452269954/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpi_10

But its a US book so we might have trouble getting the ingredients.

Oooh went to have a look at that but the first review puts me off :o It says

"..........The only objection I had was that a lot of recipes were made from cake mixes and the like. For me, that spoils the point. The whole idea of cooking things myself is so they will be fresher and more wholesome. I would have liked the book better if he called for more actual ingredients (flour, sugar) but if you don't mind using mixes, I think you will have no objections at all."

If anyone buys it and thinks its worth it please let me know :D

Small update on the cost - paid £4-44.
Sent a further email to Amazon Customer Services with a polite complaint over the price difference between day of order and despatch. They responded stating what their standard policy is on the issue of price, but were willing as a one off to refund me £1.
I regularly order from Amazon 2-3 times a month, amounts vary, this may have influenced their decision.
For myself I am an optimist - there does not seem to be much use being anything else.

I just paid £3.65 for a new book this morning, P&P free. Have the e-receipt so will check they don't charge any more between now and dispatch. Well done on getting the refund :)
