Tesco plastic bags - Vent!

  • They have all got bad but Tesco is the worst. I used to be able to carry 3 x 2 litre bottles of pop in one bag and now they break with just 1 bottle after walking a few feet!!! Most bags for life are actually too big. I'm fairly short (though not nearly as short as some of my friends though) and I find that the handles stretch and you end up dragging them along the floor as soon as you put something remotely heavy in them!!!

If I was you, I would invest in online grocery shopping, just until you've had your baby and recovered! It's a little bit extra but it's worth it not to hurt yourself.

    Problem solved :rotfl:
  • Hmmmmm I've got a few years left before I reach 60. Do you have to wait until you're 60 to use one of those? I might try to start a new fashion amongst the under 30's :rotfl:

Why did you email them? Just call them, tell them what's happened. The CSD member will have to contact the manager and let him deal with it. Also, I think it's something to do with them being bio-degradable (well thats what our manager told us) and they just become weaker and weaker in time. *shrugs*

I have mates in their early 30s that use those trolleys for their weekly shopping!

To be fair they are not tartan ones - funky designs - but still....

I always have my own bags. I have a fold up one in my handbag for when I buy a lot more than I planned (not very Moneysaving but I'm trying to be better). I find it easier because one sturdy fabric or woven bag will hold at least 3 of a supermarkets bagsworth so there are fewer to carry.
