Ooh MV, sorry your midwife stinks... I had one at the hospital that the worlds worst nasal hair and 2 fat crusty bogeys stuck up each side... It was foul...

I might have inadvertantly slated my usual midwife off to the head of midwifery yesterday without realising... But then it serves her right for being useless...

I complained about a M/W once, she stank of smoke to the extent that when she picked baby up (without permission) I told her to put her straight back down again.

I wouldn't have her in the house again, she must have had a terrible affect on people with morning sickness.

Krystal - I'm noe exaggerating..she effing stinks, and is really obese to the point where she wears open-toe sandals in the freezing winter as I'm sure her feet wont fit into shoes :eek:

I wouldn't care (well I would about the smelling bit) if she was nice and helpful, but she's not. I'm literally in and out of there in 5 mins. At the end she barks 'any questions?', but before you can even take a breath she's ushering me out the door.

To be honest if I do have any questions I'm going to phone the hospital and speak to one of the midwives there. Drat this 'shared care' malarky :mad:

Fingers crossed Tinks...I'm very excited that baby raspberry is imminent! Can still remember our days on TTC..sniff..

I cannot do daytime telly any more, the house is tidy, and I am waiting in for a flaming plumber.

I think every twinge is the start of it, lost some browny stringy stuff about an hour ago, and I'm not even excited by that. I'm always excited by gusset contents, what's wrong with me today!??!?! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

can I join? my EDD is 21st May and i'm just beginning to feel quite pregnant (trousers not fastening will do that!) so will keep an eye on this thread for tip and offers as we will be doing all this on a very tight budget!

MV Your MW sounds poo. Mines nice - a bit scatty and is always running late! We can't pick and choose unfortunately - the joys of the NHS. I hope I don't get the same sonographer as last time as she just had the worst bedside manner - even told me off for taking my shoes off before I got on the bed :mad:

Anyways - do you need to have a full bladder for the 20 week scan. I've just been to the loo - ooops. Do I need to drink copious amounts of water in the next hour?

No need for a full bladder so you are fine!

Sammy, you don't need a full bladder... And if you're lucky you'll get a different sonographer for your 20wk scan... I did... Unfortunately the one I had for 12w was lovely, the one I had for 20w was an ignorant cowbag...

I definitely think rude midwives with personal hygiene problems should be complained about though... Although maybe after the baby comes along... I know someone who submitted a complaint about her midwife and it was investigated and everything... And then afterwards she had to keep seeing the same midwife :eek:
