Thanks Krystal. Going to try and find the ring guarantee and check our house insurance policy to see if it's covered. In any case it's just one of 7 little diamonds so prob not too expensive to repair. Like the idea of putting in a different stone...could use it to mark the birth of our first child.0 -
Morning ladies
Aw sorry i missed the ladies from the parenting thread last night, hope you don't think I meant you were scarey it's just the quickness of the thread and so much going on (and obviously everyone knows one another!)I would love to start posting when bubs is born
Ice I have my 16 week appointment tomorrow and it's standard up here. More bloods (I think?), urines sample and a chance to here baby's hearbeat. It would be a shame if you don't get that chance as it's an awwffuuulllllll long time 'til our 20 week scans! I am like you at the mo, not feeling as much of bubs (felt loads over the weekend) and just don't feel very pregnant. At night I barely feel a bump (under my flab:o) so it is going to be huge reassurance for me. Also getting BP checked so fingers crossed ladies that it has come down, have been taking low dose aspirin as recommended by consultant so hoping it is helping!
Fairy I have found that they generally don't discuss your weight. It was kind of mentioned in a round a bout completely non embarrassing way and I was advised to take Vit D. At the end of the day, the way I see it, I'm already preganant and overweight, can't do (much) about it now! Don't worry you'll be fine
Molt that is just too sweet awwwwwwww
Plymouth I had a pessary (after 2 days of prostin gel) and it did feel very uncomfortable being there. It didn't actually work for me in the end but DD just wasn't ready to be born ! I remember getting a lot of painful back ache and latterley (sp sorry!) some period pains, but I would take something in with you to keep you occupied and then just hope you wont need itGood luck x
Fingers crossed that at least one of you ladies shows signs of giving birth today!
Thinking of twoflower today and all the family.
ETA: Doh of course their will be a new arrival today, Merfe all the best hun xxx"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Krystaltips wrote: »Fairy, I meant to say yesterday, don't worry about your obstetrics appointment... Chances are they won't mention your weight at all... I'm way more than a couple of points over the upper bmi level and nobody has gone on at me, they also haven't weighed me since booking in so they wouldn't know how much weight I've put on either
I get nagged every time, refused to get on the scales and told them to sugar off.
But...haven't gained a pound at 21 weeks, so har de har har:rotfl:
Am I still on the pregnancy thread? Wondered if I had pressed the wrong button.
sammy good luck with your scan honey.
twoflower thinking of you. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Looking back over the thread from last night.........spot the pregnant women that had to go to bed so leave the mummies to it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Come about half 9 we either having morning sickness or exhaustion, so we get invaded and we don't care cos we just need some sleep :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
What was with the post deleted thing from Krystal to nic? Baguely interesting? I am so nosey :rotfl:
Merfe must be in by now, at least we will get one baby today......
Twoflower I know you will in all likelihood not see any of our posts, but know that you are in our thoughts are prayers, every day in fact, but particularly today xxxxxxxxx0 -
Grateful well done you! (rushes of to weigh myself) I've put on 3Ibs but still "lighter" that when I got my BFP. I'm going to have to start being careful because I am feeling loads better so eating things that I normally wasn't eating before, I was on a low carb diet so eating bread, potatoes, rice and pasta wont cut them out but will have to cut back methinks. Still not fancying "rubbish" like choc, crisps etc. DH came home with a back of cadbury nibbles last night (which I love) and the whole packet is still sitting here!"That's no reason to cry. Morning all
Just popping in, not in a good place at the moment as I'm coming up to sad anniversary and my mind is in overdrive. Baby thinks it's fun to go quiet for the past day or so, I'm trying to keep calm and rational and failing!
I also wondered if I had stumbled across the wrong thread this morning :rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway, Good luck today Merfe, hope all goes well
Twoflower, you will be in my thoughts today too
Labour vibes to all the bold ladies today.
Will pop in later on to see if there is any baby news.Virtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -

:eek: Oh no don't say that LOL! I am more worried about the weight gain after bubs is born I put on loads with DD (a wee bit of depression) but at least I will be more aware of it this time round.

hun I put on over 6 stone with DD and I was overweight to start with!! I started this pregnancy 3 stones heavier than I did my last one, and have put on 3 stones.........therefore finishing both pregnanies, 7 and a half years apart, at the same weight :rotfl:
My only hope is that he is a 14lb'er (but slips out like some sort of weasel type creature :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )0 -
Um, apologies everyone but I feel really lost in this thread at the moment. I haven't been able to read it during work so had to catch up on quite a lot and my head is in a spin. I feel like I've missed a few pages even though I haven't. Very strange. I might put it down to lack of sleep (OH is working nights for a week and I'm a scaredy cat being in the house on my own).
I believe MERFE is having a baby today?! It is today right? I wanted to saying good luck before she went but I missed her. If you back read this Merfe, then good luckAlthough I'm sure you will have better things to do
My coat doesn't do up anymoreI was going to buy a maternity coat from Next but they are sold out (serves me right dithering). But now I'm thinking about moving my buttons on my current coat as it's getting old now, so it would be more MSE to save the £50 and spend it on a non-maternity coat next season.
I transferred some clubcard vouchers for double up ones on baby & toddler. Gutted to find out you have to wait for the new codes in the post! Now I'm paranoid that the things I want to get might be out of stock by the time I get them. Decided upon a moses basket and changing mat. But OH staff discount comes off so I need to spend another £6. Not sure what to get. The muslin cloths put me just below the £80 and it says it has to be above the value of the clubcard vouchers.
Got my 28 week appointment today. Trying to drink lots as I'm tough to get blood out of and I don't want to have to go back to see the nurses to get it done. Would rather midwife just did it first time.
34 working days to go till maternity leave:j
OK just seen nics post, now it all makes sense. Deleted posts has confused the hell out of me. At least I'm not going mad after all.Baby Giz born 6/2/110
