:rotfl::rotfl:I was too, took me ages to get from a 16 down to a 12 but thats mainly down to me not actually dieting just changing habits:o Annoying really coz I used to balk at the idea of being over a size 10:eek: The naievity of teenagers eh?:rotfl::rotfl:

I can remember when I was younger wondering how anyone ever got fat because if I ever had to buy a size 14 I would go on a serious diet, when I did need to buy a size 14 a few years later it seems I was less fussed, maybe i'd go on a serious diet if I ever got to size 16. Well I'm size 16 now and have been since I had Lucy so it hasn't bothered me that much. When I was losing weight in january it was mostly through exercise and that gives you energy too and makes you feel good so its more than just losing weight I think. Size 12 would be nice though, I could dig out some really old dodgy jeans lol. I was once a size 8 for about a month but it involved quite a serious flu episode so I don't think I'll ever be that small again.

Hi fluffy! Feels a bit strange to be welcoming you when I only got here last night but an extra hello is always nice :) Congrats on your good news xxx

As for the stuff you'll need... You don't actually need half the things the shops tell you, we got just about everything for my first child, ended up using about a third of it!

On our list to get before Bubs arrives there is...

Bottles (I had trouble BFing DD, they were on offer, and handy to have in case of expressing)
    Steriliser
Moses basket (I know lots of people don't bother with these, but you can get them cheap enough, ours is going to stay in the lounge)
    Cotbed/crib/mattress and bedding
Pram/car seat (we're hoping to get a travel system so it's all in one but that depends on cost!)
    Clothes, clothes, clothes!
    Nappies/wipes
    Bibs
    Socks/scratch mitts
    Baby nail clippers
Teething 'things' (not needed straightaway but we seem to have bought some already!)
    Cot mobile/nightlight
Baby shampoo/soap (Johnson's bedtime bath was invaluable and we still use it now, DD's 7!)

And that is about it for the stuff I can remember was actually used!

There's also the "non-essentials but come in handy"

    Changing mat
    Baby bath
Vibrating/bouncy chair (people swear by them but my DD hated hers!)
High chair (when Bubs is a bit older obviously)
    Bottle warmer
Baby monitor (never came out of the box)

Erm, think that's everything, sorry for the huge list and I've probably forgotten lots of essential things but that's all I can think of for now - someone else will be able to advise you better :)

Hope everyone has a good weekend xxxxx

Thanks Cutterby! I have this on excel now :T.
I will add predicted spends to help me budget and actual spends for each item. Have done the same for Christmas shopping (nearly done so I can concentrate on baby prep) and it's great to see how much I've saved this year.
Have to be more careful than usual because OH is out of work- his contract ended a couple of weeks before we found out we're expecting.
I'm sure we'll manage though ;), especially with all of you looking out for the bargains with us :D.

Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

Sometimes I don't know if people are being sarcastic or not :o

One of the signs that you might go into labour soon is when your body evacuates your bowel contents...
