Phew! This thread is moving fast today!
Congratulations, threemuttleys :T Can’t wait to see some pics
I finally got to see a midwife today after all the faffing and cancelled appointments I’ve had since last Monday. It wasn’t my usual MW, who appears to be on holiday now, but I got 2 for the price of one. After measuring a couple of weeks ahead a few weeks ago, I’m now measuring about 3 weeks behind. But both MWs had a good feel of Flump and agreed that s/he feels the right size so don’t think it’s anything to worry about. Heartbeat was fine and Flump has been moving about plenty so I can’t see much being wrong in there.
They did mention that I might not be allowed to have a water birth due to being on anti-coagulants, since it’s harder to monitor blood loss the water. This is a bit of a blow as I’m hoping to use water as my main form of pain relief(can’t have an epidural due to complications because of the anti-coagulants, so no need for me to worry about needles in the spine!) But they did say I should ask to be allowed to at labour in the water and just get out for the birth. So we’ll just have to see what happens.
And I got home to a call from Argos to say that my bed which was due to be delivered by Monday now won’t be available til the end of November! I’m particularly annoyed as I called them on Monday to check all was OK for delivery and was told there weren’t any problems. I need a bed for my Mum to sleep in when she comes down after the birth so can’t wait til the end of November for it, so I’ve had to cancel that order and order a different one instead. The new one is more expensive and also a divan bed whereas I wanted a pine bed, but it’s available to be delivered next Thursday so it’ll have to do. Not impressed with Argos though
Fuzz, I mentioned to the MWs that I’ve not had any Braxton Hicks and was told I probably have but didn’t feel them as not everyone does. Not sure if I believe that though. Surely I’d feel something??You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

Just replied:
"yeah. bored. Want baby now"
As well at least I get to go and pick up my mocking child shortly. I shall bug her by asking about her day/lunch/playtime/lessons until she says "please, mummy, a bit of a quiet time" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Know what you mean, Emsy. I've had the obligatory mum call today too.:p Where's that rolling eyes smiley when you need it? It'll come when it comes and yes, you will know ASAP!!!! aRGHGHHHHH!

A question. Just reading up about RLT and Evening Primrose Oil - is this true?
Evening primrose oil is an excellent source of prostaglandins, which we already determined readies your cervix for labor. It can be taken orally as soon as 34 weeks, and can be applied directly to the cervix at full term (36 weeks). The general recommendation is two 500mg capsules per day until week 38, at which time you increase to 3-4 per day. The entire capsule can be inserted vaginally (inserted just before bed, it will dissolve before the first time you wake to use the bathroom), or you can use the oil on your fingers for your perineal massage, then also rub on your cervix (assuming you can reach it). Applying directly to the cervix is optimal, but the beneficial ingredients are absorbed through the external skin or the stomach also.

Don't want to do it if it's not true! It also says this about RLT so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt...
Many women safely use it from the moment they learn they are pregnant at six weeks until months after delivery. (It helps to tone the uterus after delivery as well, shrinking it back to size more quickly and reducing bleeding.)
The box I have says it's dangerous to take it this early!
Mind you, I might need a C-Section so this might be irrelevant, in which case I'll be offering my box of RLT to the first taker! My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

ETA: just remembered as well....if you can get to a store & fit it in your car it'll be better to get it that way as when you sign up the gold card you get vouchers through the post that can only be used in store and they have xx amount of a whatever spend..think it's only £10/20 but better than a kick in the muffplus the other vouchers come in handy too

fuzz my boobs never went back down, was a 34 before DD and 38-40 after. It has never increased above 40 in foloowing pregnancies but never went back down. I think she wrecked my ribs. I have never completely lost the weight I put on with her though, that is my plan for after this one.
I had braxton hicks with DD and didn't know I was having them till I went in to be monitored after midwife appointment had the heartrate dropping and they told me I was. I could feel it after that but not massively so. Didn't get any with DS as far as I know. I've had a couple I think this time but not nearly as much as I had with DD.0 -
Thanks Fuzz. Just post it on here - it'll be fine. I was in my local Toys R Us last week and didn;t see any cots in the baby section. I have just signed up to the mummy club on their website though.
MV - I remember you posted a link to your jungle themed bedding. Pls can you do it again? Thank you!0
