I enjoy speaking about the births I have had but fr first timers they must think what the hell. I should probably add a disclaimer, 'if it was as bad as it sounds I would not be here pregnant for a third time'.
Freebie is that just nursery furniture or is it kids furniture too?MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -

The kids furniture is lovely at M&S.
I think the majority of women would say that as soon as the babys out you'd do it all over again. All pains forgotten.
Im actually getting use to being pregnant again now (34weeks) and I got excited the other day. Its not that this one wasnt planned but Ive been so busy with LO that I dont have time to get excited. Its worried me a little.0 -
Suzy... I think thats quite interesting about not being mentally ready for birth, I feel like I am ready for the birth but I am quite scared about the idea of being a parent, I just dont think I am capable of it and reckon I will rely on OH lots (he has no experience either but seems to have a lot more common sense!!)
I've had 2 emails, 2 facebook messages, 2 phone calls and OH has just had an IM asking if theres any news, I am now choosing not to reply! What can I say... NO NEWS0 -
Kitkat - Believe me your more than capable. Id never held a baby in my life before I had my first , you will take to it like a duck to water. You'll get through it together. It sounds harder than it is. Ive been lucky with all of mine but saying that its how you are with the them too. You wont drop it , forget about it or any other fears you have.
I did forget i had my first once and walk off around the next supermarket ailse and then realised something was missing but we wont mention that !
Re OD updates - I told everyone to go through my mum for updates I wouldnt speak to anyone! You dont need the stress or to be constantly reminded. People are so inconsiderate.0 -
kitkat - you'll be great
smartie - you need to get seen tomorrow, an infection is not what your body needs!
Update on delain - she has just had the gel stuff, about an hour ago I think. She held them off for a while as wanted to be absolutely sure they were right about the steroids after the birth. Second opinion agrees so she is happy now.
Had a bit of a crappy evening so far...DH has been in a right grump, everything I did earlier was wrong - he's now shouting at the PS3! I ended up crying when he went out of the room but that didn't elicit any sympathy so I'm just leaving him to it! He has a day off tomorrow so hopefully will be better.
Was funny on the way home tonight, I asked a woman who was sitting on the outside of a set of 2 seats if I could get in...you'd have thought I'd asked for one of her kidneys! I took great pleasure then in spreading my buttocks as widely as possible and taking up lots of space...Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Evening all,
No news from Delain yet then, hope she is ok or enjoying lots of mummy cuddles!
Quick update, been for my 16 week midwife appointment, apparently I am blooming! She tells me I'm a good size and she listened to the babies heart which sounded strong and regular.
She wouldn't take my triple test bloods as I am due to go for bloods next Friday in Birmingham where they were requested from. Personally I don't think she was keen to take them which is a shame because I would like them out the way!
BP fine, urine fine, mentioned the suspected SPD which she seemed to confirm is the case and she gave me a few tips
Try not to open legs too wide (bit late for that now should of mentioned 4 months ago!!)
Try and get out of the car in a lady like manner (LOL - yeah right)
She said the physio will probably give me a belt or similar to support bump.
Still having pain which feels like my coccyx is numb most of the time, I have pain in my back and my hips click everytime I get up from sitting apart from that and the cramp I get in my calves and feet most days and swollen ankles, I'm tickety boo!! :rotfl:
Only 22 weeks to go, I dread to think how I will be in the end if I'm like this now!!!
Labour vibes for all needing them!!Virtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -
