  • Thanks for your post. I think my problem is that when I found out I was pregnant around 6 weeks I was sick constantly up until about 2 weeks ago when I was about 17 weeks. That was my only really link to being pregnant apart from my 12 week scan. My 20 week scan is 2 weeks on friday when I will actually be 21 weeks, but I am petrified that something will be wrong and I will get bad news - I dont think I could handle that.

Mine is the 1st October. I was very sick until middle of August too which was reassuring but really we will both be fine, you can hire maternity dopplers to check for a heart beat yourself if the anxiety is getting too much. I have one but OH 'tidied' it away so i would not be paranoid and has now forgotton where it is. grrr

Hngry - whats with the siggy??

Hi Lilac. Nice to 'see' you here.

Someone got annoyed that I disagreed with their opinion, and had the experience to back up my own ideas, so I got called 'aggressive', rude, a 'troublemaker' and to top it all off a Troll. Actually made me laugh out loud :rotfl: So I thought I'd have a bit of a giggle with my signature. Will probably change it when something else amuses me as much

Just had a huuuge bowl of custard made for me by DH. Been daydreaming about it all day. Yummy yummy

3 tablets left, 3 days till I see the Dr Hope I don't lose any....

  • I'm about the same as Lilac, had a couple of small movements but I only know that because I've done it before a couple of times... Even now I get paranoid that something has happened and it was only wind I felt... It doesn't help that I had the small amount of bleeding the other week either...

I just keep thinking as long as my belly is expanding, something is going on in there... :) (And I have to wait until 22 weeks for the anomolly scan which feels a lifetime away!)

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • I've not been able to get through to the reception at the centre to book my anomaly scan. It rings and then cuts to an answerphone message that says they're busy and I can't leave a message.
Will keep trying, and write letter if necessary.

  • They booked mine when I went for the dating scan, they also booked the 28 and 34 week scans that I don't want too because they're so busy they have to book them waaaaaaaaaay in advance...

  • Congrats Courgette, he is so cute. I had my driving lesson today, it went well, will have one more next week then have to have a break for six weeks. I ended up going for a nap after my lunch as didn't feel very well and keep getting migraines. Feeling bit better now.

sharkey - it is strange when things just stop, but it does sound normal. I think that middle phase is odd because sickness has usually gone, but you don't feel anything yet. I didn't really feel movements until well after 20 weeks, i think around 23 (wish I'd kept a note of this kind of thing!). I was always worried that next time I went there wouldn't be a heartbeat etc, and still do worry a lot if any movement changes etc (at 37+3 - eeek, how did that happen?!)

I am not doing well with the RLT. I don't mind it, just off hot drinks at the moment as I get so hot so never think of making it. Think I've managed about 2 cups in a week. Going to be more determined from tomorrow!

DH has gone to bed, he thinks he'll be ok for work tomorrow, think I will go myself too and read as I'm pooped despite afternoon sleep and friend is picking me up just after 9am to go for coffee!
