Good morning everyone
MLSL - congratulations on the birth of baby Ronan!
Nene - how exciting - I hope you're getting mummy cuddles soon
Krystal - sure it's fine if it's brown blood but keep a close eye on it.
Just had a lovely long sleep, definitely feeling movements now I think - they're behind my lowest ribs on the right hand side - I'm thinking they're either the reverbarations from kicks from a transverse baby or hiccups! I'll read back to see what you lot have been up to as hospital didn't have Internet access.
I'm so happy you called your little one Ronan, I adore the name. Hope you're getting loads of mummy cuddles.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Hello everyone, I'm new to posting this site and am de-lurking after reading this thread for quite a while now. My EDD is 13/11/10 and feels very far and close at the same time. It'll be our first and is on team blue.
Just wanted to say congrats to all the new arrivals and labour vibes to all those that need them. xx0 -
Welcome JadeOrchid - how exciting for you
Do you have any names for blue bump yet?

yes, but DH and I can't agree so we will probably decide on the day.
Bump is currently known as Tigger (Chinese Year of the tiger this year and all that) and shall most likely think that's his name when he finally arrives.0 -
Morning
good luck today nene x
Had a great day yesterday and feel so much better. Too much walking, my back is all stiff if I sit still too long now and I completely forgot I said I'd go in to work early today grrr. We managed the Zoo pretty quick and got the kids all the school uniform bits too.
I did not resist temptation and bought one outfit for the baby a 0-3 months mickey mouse one so cute and after telling Giz not to bother with a pramsuit unless she really wants one I got one. Its newborn upto 9lbs and so cute, creamy with brown cow patches on. Hopefully will be good for bringing the baby home from hospital and those first few school runs before the 0-3 month one fits. I know DD weighed more than 9lb but the clothes that fitted her best were newborn upto 7lb whereas DS weighed less but must have been a little longer and fitted the bigger newborn sizes better. Will just have to wait and see.
I worked out that the pram, carrycot, car seat and 2 bases comes to £850  Is it worth it? So far we've bought/planning to buy nothing but second hand. And I feel like I want to spend some money and spoil myself and baby. I know we won't spend a lot on the cotbed - about £100. There's still the matress and bedding which is quite pricey. And nappies of course.
@Budgetblonde - good to have you back.
@Lilian - yay for feeling something.I'm still desperately trying, but nothing so far. I know it's still early (17+4).
I'm seeing the consultant on Thursday so I'm hoping to hear the heartbeat as I didn't get to hear it myself last time.
I went to the wedding reception last night - I'm knackered today. I have a hen do tonight. Tomorrow OH is picking me up and we're going to mothercare and toysrus to try out more pushchairsCan't wait.
Can I have a rant...I'm getting fed up of the negativity from people about my choice to use reusable nappiesThe sort of comments I get is "I'll give you two weeks". Can someone who's used reusables give me some reassurance? I can't see how difficult it is putting a wash of nappies on every other day...but maybe I'm really naive?
Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Hi Giz. My nephew had reusable nappies (apart from the first few weeks). SIL said that it was not much of a problem as long as the wash gets put on. They didn't even need to use a tumble dryer most of the year. They did use disposables for some days out and long car journies.
Congratulations MLSL :j
Am feeling rough today. Waiting for the nausea to pass before I venture into the kitchen. Hoping it'll pass before 12:30 so I can go to a garden party. If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
