delain my friend showed me her "sunroof scar" a few weeks ago i was totally amazed that they are able to get a baby out of something so small (i suppose same could be said about a foof :rotfl:)
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

delain - glad you are home at least and that it's all being taken seriously! did your books arrive?

sir m - yay for not being kept in. Fingers crossed meds will work, if you end up queue jumping at 37w it will be just before I start my M/L!

Been out tonight, was nice - went to Giraffe on the south bank then sat on a bench chatting. DH was also out with a friend and she came back for a cuppa so I saw her briefly, she is so intrigued about what it's like to be pregnant!

At home tomorrow :D plan to do all my handover notes in case I don't make 3 more weeks at work! Have now found out my closest colleague can't make one of the handover meetings and we'll actually only be in the office together 1.5 days in my last week so am starting to wonder if it's worth being there!!

I am also going to choose some nice material for my change bag which my sister in law is making for me...it's an onbag type which can be worn in diff ways including with a sling...am quite excited!

  • Has anyone heard of Fenugreek? Apparently it's meant to increase your supply of breastmilk.

    http://www.breastfeeding.com/all_about/all_about_fenugreek.html

I have, I was lucky enough not to require it though so I don't know how effective it is.

Anything containing oats is good too, so have supply of flapjack at the ready.

LilacPixie I had noticed your sig :p I may PM you if that's ok for a chat at some point, cos I don't know any younger people with it. Apparently I'm going to have a lumbar puncture as well and I really hate spinal things, having looked at wikipedia I can see that that's definitely what they're checking for, and I do meet a lot of he criteria. :(

I hope KK is getting cuddles now :)

I'm thinking about sleeping down here, it's just too hot upstairs as OH has had the tumble dryer on.

Rach: No they hadn't! I haven't got to be at the hospital till 1 tomorrow so hopefully they will arrive before I go.

Ooh thanks Nene for shiney new thread! :D

Sorry to disappoint but no mummy cuddles here! although I have got a much more positive attitude after having a productive day! Realised if I did have bubs on time I wouldn't have felt upto anything, the toothache/ headache and backache was killing me and I really did not feel myself. Managed to get emergency dentist appt, I've got an infected root canal and a dead tooth! The dentist drilled the tooth and filled it with medicine to ease the pain. I came out in agony but it feels amazing now :) for this first time in a week I can eat solids!

Also had my back sorted: apparently it was in a terrible mess with problems with my feet, lower legs, backside, shoulders and lower back. I actually feel about 3 stone lighter, can move much easier :)

Don't think bubs is coming for a week or two so guna spend rest of week doing stuff with OH like short day trips out :) ah I feel so much better now!

  • Off to hospital soon, with my due date being tomorrow wonder if they will suggest anything ? Might ask for a sweep but I doubt they will do it. Feeling really heavy the last few days loads of cramps but they always come to nothing, I swear if this baby doesn't hurry up I'm going to give it a weird name like rumplestiltskin in revenge !! I wonder if they will check if I have dialated at all, last time
got to 4cm without feeling a thing it was the last 6cm that were painful
Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:

Well I'm shattered this morning, as well as being on crutches and still getting used to them, I'm unable to take my new pain killers as they space me out and DH is really poorly in bed so I'm having to "run" around after DS (whose just turned 3). I did the same yesterday and didn't sleep very well last night as DH was so disturbed. I've already to the supermarket this morning to get him for tablets and will be taking him to the doctors later. So much for me being on the sick from work to rest and get my pain under control!!

DS is currently sat quietly next to me playing Peppa Pig on the the Wii which I bought him yesterday just to give me a chance to sit down during the day - bad Mummy, although I'm sure he doesn't think so.

I had a feeling I was going to be going off work at the begining of last week so I arranged to do a hand over with someone in the office at the end of every week. I did my first one on Thursday gone (which was the big one) and low and behold the doc signed me off the following day. Not sure of the likelihood of going back at the moment, will play it by ear.

Good luck MLSL  it's horrible isn't it, the heavy end stage! Makes you feel worn out, and of course people saying 'Haven't you had that baby yet' 'erm, yes but I left it at home and strapped a bag of builder's sand to my stomach' :wall:

ETA: Welshlassie, it doesn't make you a bad mum in my book! I sometimes buy things for mine when I'm feeling low or whenever I can afford to.

    Morning ladies.

Well i believe we are kicking off at this end been having contractions since 5am which are getting more and more painfull. I'm averageing 2 in 10 at the moment i can cope at the moment but i dont remember them being this painfull with bubs this early on and the pressure on my foof is making it feel like it is gonna explode any minute.

I'm meant to be going for my antenatal at 11:50 if nothing progresses i think i will still go and get checked out :-)

    morning everyone x

Delain you are taking it all so well, its inspiring. Glad doctors seem to be doing all they can, hopefully they'll find out what it is x

Sir monster fingers crossed the meds do the job and bring the bp down enough for you x

Right so last night at work it was so incredibly painful to walk, felt like someone had kicked me in the foof. Never had anything like that before. It's still painful now. I think its the stupid hard supermarket floor again. Messed up my feet in the beginning and now its doing this. I'm gonna be a right mess by thursday.
