They'll make thousnads by operating like this.dimension1313 wrote:Yep. They cancelled immdiately, but they require 14 days to refund the money.
Basically, we, the consumers , are paying for CPW's mistake. Our potential bank interest on the 30+ pounds is gone.
I had the same problem when Debenhams overcharged me and I stood my ground and they ended up refunding me before I had even sent the goods back.
This 14 day policy is just a way of making money.Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

If anyone is thinking about ringing up to cancel on this one, there is a freephone alternative to the 0870 Customer Support number (found on saynoto0870.com) which is: 0800 0491008
Just a shame the offer didnt work out, but did we really expect it to?

I have saved the page that shows that the L7 is free do you think that will help? Surely it is false advertising??. They have messed me about so much i want this free phone!0

money takes a maximum of 14 days to be returned. It was worth the hassle trying, you never know one time they may even honour it0

From the terms and conditions.
4.3. We reserve the right to withdraw any Goods or Services from the Website at any time and/or remove, screen or edit any materials or content on the Website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time in our sole discretion. We will not be liable to You or any third party by reason of our doing any of the following: withdrawing any Good or Services from the Website whether or not those Goods or Services have been sold; removing, screening or editing any materials or content on the Website; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.
So did you seriously expect them to honour this?0 -
Surely though they say they are not liable to anyone for withdrawing it from the website but it wasnt withdrawn when the purchases were made, it was there, if the sale has been made on the grounds that we purchased what was on offer and theyve taken the money and dont provide the goods we paid for then havent they breached the sales contract, similar to the debenhams bedding scenario a couple of months ago?0

Why do companies like this advertise free items if they have no intention of delivering them.
Surely this is not just a genuine mistake.

my point exactly.....'withdrawing from the website' however the sale had taken place, it doesnt make any difference if they remove it from the website...i dont understand how they can under the supply of goods act sell you something and mislead you into believing you're buying something as a package and then fail to supply it. Withdrawing it from the website is one thing, but if youve paid for them to supply something and they dont its got nothing to do with the fact its on the website or not, if that was the offer then theyve misled you. i think
